Decent player but he’s similar to Willian in terms of ball carrying, isn’t he? He looked really good in his first season but has struggled since. I wouldn’t be against bringing him in on loan tbh but I’m not sure how he’d fit in our team.

Smells like lazy journalism to me. The story basically states directly that this is all speculation:

- Arsenal could make a shock move
- ...following speculation that he (Anderson) has been offered to the Gunners
- ...the opportunity to sign Anderson on a cut-price deal could be a tempting one

Perhaps at some point we were looking at Anderson as a Willian alternative or something but we're clearly after CMs so Anderson would make no sense at all at this point

If we're looking for a cheap short-term fix there in terms of creative players that play in between lines it's not the most absurd idea in the world.
