Most of all everyone is underperforming. I don't think we need as much substitutions as a mentality change for the second half.

Games like this is are why I’m sad Pepe doesn’t get much starts. He’s a high risk player who is capable of making something happen- with Federicks on a yellow we need to provoke him into challenges.

Xhaka, Ceballos, bellerin, holding, kolasinac, and laca looking pretty bad touch wise and decision wise.

People doubt the value of an always 6.5 player in El Neny but he'd have not had a bad touch or decision if he'd played because he never does.

He's not what we need going forwards long term but neither is Xhaka and Ceballos

Xhaka and Ceballos a big disappointment this half. Back to old sins both of them. Dani taking a million touches and clinging to the ball and Xhaka is just slow. Granit has had several misplaced passes and was poor at the goal. Should have pressed Bowen earlier to let Kola concentrate on Fredericks.

Doesn't appreciate the mighty Nacho
Gabriel our best player so far. He’s the only one who can find a pass it seems.

Ceballos should be benched once we sign Partey and Aouar. Him and Xhaka are okay against top teams when we sit deep, but too slow when we need to progress the ball quickly. Far too ponderous.

Midfield taking too many touches and doing nothing with it. Saka is on the half turn between the lines so often, they don't have the balls to play the pass. Doesn't help that Kola just passes to Gabriel even when Xhaka is on.

Been a very interesting game tactically. West Ham are snuffing out space really well and our players are trying to force openings a little bit. Xhaka and Ceballos have had some good moments but just lacking patience at times in possession, particularly Xhaka at points. Think Laca's lack of pace is a bit of a problem but he's also had some good moments - including the goal. Saka, Auba and Willian have been positive IMO but they're not picking the ball up in good positions often enough. Losing Tierney has definitely affected us negatively.
