for the people saying we should of given Emi a new lucrative, long term contract - How ****ing stupid would we look if we offered that, missed out on Partey ( because of lack of funds ) and Martinez starts playing like a bum and benched by Leno?

If Emi's sale played a role in enabling us to buy Partey, you'd have to say it was the correct decision to sell him. However, if it had no bearing on his signing, we should have kept both.
All signs pointed to us needing to sell to buy, so all other things equal, I'd say it was the right move to strengthen our squad overall since CM was a glaring weakness as opposed to GK.
Ultimately, I'd rather have Leno + Partey than both Leno + Emi minus Partey, as much as I still wish Emi was here fighting for the starting spot.

As @GDeep™ said, why waste money on guys like Cedric, Mari, Willian when we already had options in each of those positions. Its poor from the club

Where has anyone said hold onto it? Think could a few good keepers are doing better than giving an assist to Sterling.
But you seem to have a rather narrow view of it if you believe only one player can ever be held accountable for a goal.

We're only a little over a month or so into the season. Their respective forms could be entirely different come the next couple of months. The lack of a dependable backup is a problem, though. No way Leno should be playing in these matches.
This is the bigger issue.
Which midfielder could we have sold to generate similar funds from what we got for Emi? AMN was the only "midfielder" who would have gotten us a decent fee, but we seemingly got cold feet after his CS performance (plus him being homegrown helped).

You said it - we could have got £20 million for AMN (not that I want him sold), we could certainly have got more than £20 million for Xhaka. We could probably have got more than £20 million for Guendouzi if the situation hadn't been handled so badly. Plus of course we'd have saved a couple of million on Runarsson.

Time and time again he's found wanting commanding the box, distribution is suspect, has been conceding left right and centre, parrying shots out to strikers feet. I literally don't get the hype, let alone to surpass Emi

Even if we ignore the dreadful clearances he's making, there's still the issue of parrying into strikers paths and being unable to command his area. But it's ok because he saves the majority of shots in his direction and is a decent sweeper keeper. That isn't enough if your technique is lacking.
