We dont need him as a CB or as a DM so sell for £10m if it means we can get Partey!
Should be more worth but of course you would take that. On the other hand would rather sell sokratis, mustafi and loan saliba and keep him. Is HG and on low wages + can still be sold next year.

That's, like, your opinion, man.

not surprised by this but i hope we sell him not loan surely a team can give us 10-15M for him.

Means Mustafi will be here until the end of his contract.

How long does Callum have on his contract? If he does well on loan again we should probably cash in.

I'm so sick of these loans. A loan is for a young talent who needs minutes on the pitch, not mediocre players who need binning from the squad.

And it's all got to do with that socialist wage structure that we have.

Worst thing is he's been here for 6+ years and you couldn't say what his best position is. His best performances were in midfield on loan at Fulham.

Fair enough, injuries have hampered him here but it's time to move him on.

It was either Holding or Chambers. Holding's taken his opportunity this season.

Was our best defender before he got injured. Had actually stabilized that right wing. I feel he is competent enough and just like Holding I would prefer to keep him. Let him go on loan, regain his fitness and then decide after that.

The issue is people were saying Chambers is better only 12 months ago. These guys have swapped ACL injuries. For me they are very similar ability wise.

I like Chambers because he is a confident player and extremely versatile. Holding is a tough guy who likes winding up opposition players, I love that as we have hardly had it from a defenders in recent years. He doesnt really lose his head in the process. Also, I have noticed he is quite a leader this season. So for me its a toss up really. Ideally we keep both but we need the money.

We shouldn’t have negativity towards him, talented young guy, done well on loans, gives it his all, just gets held back by injuries.

He was a top signing.
The opposite of Saliba. Came in for what was a big fee at the time (16m) and thrown into the deep end with little experience. If there was a lesson on development its Chambers. Over hyped, over played, no stability or continuity and under delivered.

Maybe

You're wrong, no?

I'm sure he is sorry that he missed half of his career being injured.

If you want an "under delivered" example, that would be Mustafi, Chambers was unlucky to get injured every time he got into some good form

That's true. Injuries obviously played a massive part and his form elsewhere was good and merited a chance with us. I suppose I'm just thinking of those early days where I just wanted to wrap him up and protect him from the damage he was sustaining by playing.

That’s the thing though, he was excellent at Southampton at RB, excellent for Middlesborough at CB, excellent for Arsenal in both these positions.

The guy just couldn’t get a break from injuries.

He was great at centreback for us last season but I shudder at the thought of him playing right back for us again.
