We should really swoop in
I said that few days ago real madrid don't want to use him i really hope a good bid last week of window might convince real madrid to sell but we seem more focused to get rid of Özil mustafi Sokratis first

Big Spanish team isn't using its young creative midfielder, slightly less big English team needs a creative midfielder...it's not exactly a tough nut to crack.

I would be ecstatic if we would sign Ødegaard in January, either on loan+option or permanent. Would be such a massive improvement in technical quality in our squad.

:shivering::shivering: at the thought of a Saka - ESR - Ødegaard line-up.

Looking at how poor Maitland-Niles was yesterday and our lack of left footers over the left side, what about someone like Van Aahnholt from Palace as cover at left back.

Experienced in the league, pretty good going forward, athletic, powerful, quick, out of contract in the summer. Then in a couple of years when Tierney is 25 / 26 can focus on buying a younger 1 to cover & groom.

It's not hard. The club just have no idea what they are doing. Finding back up players isn't difficult. We cant even find up keeper ffs.

Crystal Palace have Butland as a back up keeper.

Halfway through the window and we are still negotiating Ozils departure, trying to sort out Sokratis and Torreira. Watch our deadline day panic.

Yeah, its not really as hard to solve our issues but the club have no ****ing clue what to do. Gonzalo Montiel and Bernat are free agents in a few months. One is highly rated and the other has massive experience at a decent age. We also could've loaned a couple of fullbacks from Real Madrd and Barca.

The problem is we have two rookies learning on the job with no supervision or strategy.

I really don't see any viable reason of why we have Runarsson or whatever as our 2nd choice keeper because getting an experienced and serviceable back up GK doesn't take a lot. Either as a free agent, loan or a permanent transfer.

Buchanan seems a good shout based on the link and all things considered. Don't know anything about myself.

I also don't understand why we signed Cedric when we have Osei Tutu. Someone who can play full back and is homegrown currently playing in the championship. He couldn't be a back up?

Olise available for 8 million, Eze was in the same situation last season and easily stepped up to premier league level.

What are they actually doing? Build the damn squad.

Agreed. There is an entire world full of talent and yet we cant seem to find anyone unless they are known.

Cedric is clearly not good enough and never was. Southampton believed he was championship level. How can a player be casted off by Southampton and openly be deemed not good enough, yet we have our executives justifying their quality?

How can they justify Runnarson as a third choice keeper? Now he needs to go on loan? Its 1.5 million down the drain. Literally throwing money away.

Get the feeling we can only handle one thing at a time right now. And Özil negotiation is trumping anything else we might do

And that is a stupid move. It most likely won't happen since he wants his money. Concentrate on getting rid of the rest.

I actually doubt that. If Leno got injured and we were stuck with Butland or Runarson we'd be f*cked either way.

Yeah but the point is he cost a quarter of Runar and he’s homegrown. Doubt he’s on 40k a week either.

The problem we have is Arteta and Edu should never got the job. They are nowhere near qualified. But now they are here most people feel well changing things now won’t guarantee anything and new guys will need time. So we might stick with them. It’s a weird way to see things. Arteta should already be gone and sacking him now is ideal as the season is over in the league

Who cares, hiring someone for the sake of HG doesn’t make sense if they’re dog dirt.
