If he can just put his head down and accept to sign a new deal, I would take him back even if he doesn't do a public apology but the C&&t is so ridged that he's pissed Wenger as well. I don't care what Henry said inspite of the points but His statements should have been phrased as, "Cole should not leave" rather than we shouldn't let him go owing to the fact that he is the one who wants out. At the same time, I remember a rumour during the tap-up scandle that he said he would leave on a free which looks like the next option, So just butt him out albeit at a good cost or do a Reyes on him the entire season.

61 pages dedicated to this ****, does he really deserve it? hah.

Why don't Chelsea just pay up, they've been happy to do with every other player they've bought, and can even afford to let Crespo, Duff etc. to go for **** all.

Arsenal certainly wont be beaten when it comes to the asking price, no matter how many times that Portuguese **** wants the process to be done quickly. Alternative players in mind my ass.

And justn to stray off topic, Henry didn't stay because we promised to match his ambitions but rather he saw ambition in this team and considering the chances he fluffed in the finals of Champ League in Paris, He had to stay and make up

Chelsea are being opportunistic, and are trying to milk this situation while they can. They are doing this, either to get Cole on the cheap or unsettle our team, I suspect it's the latter. So far, all the press speculation has been surrounding the Arsenal and AC relationship. All they say about Chelsea is that they have made an offer, so there is no unsettling effect on their club. Moriniho just speaks out to add fuel to the fire, and add to the speculation.

Cole is too thick to realise that it is Chelsea that are feeding him to the sharks as they are using him to get at Arsenal. If they really wanted him they definitely would have paid up by now, he was rated as one of the (if not the) best LB's in the world for f*cks sake. How could you pay £20m for SWP and then expect to get away with an offer of £16 for AC?

As far as Henry's comments are concerned. Henry is good mates with Cole, and he is helping his mate out, by trying to smooth over a future possible return to the Arsenal first team for Cole.

Henry's got a point. I hate to say it, but clichy and flamini arent as good as cole is yet, and we'd be losing another senior player at the club. wenger himself has said we need experience.

Henry mentioned that selling cole to chelsea would be selling one of our key assets to the team we're trying to catch. its a double whammy and thats a really good point. at the mo, they've got wayne bridge as their only natural LB (assuming gallas leaves - and he doesnt like playing there anyway) so that could be where chelsea could be exploited. selling cole to em would make the LB position one of their strong points instead.

the more i look at it from this perspective the more i want to keep him.

Indeed. I don't know why Henry's comments have caused such a stir. He signed a new contract on the basis that our ambitions would continue to be in line with his.

As far as he's concerned, the rest of the players don't have a problem with Cole and he's also a key member of the team. His relationship with the board and the fans has little to do with what goes on on the pitch. Nobody can blame him for looking at things from a pure sporting point of view. Who caused the situation is not important to him, but resolving it so that one of the clubs best assets is not allowed to move to a rival they're trying to catch, is.

Ashley's behaviour has been lamentable, but it does not excuse selling one of your best players to your main rivals. Gallas is regularly on French tv dissing Chelsea, but Kenyon would rather wine and dine all of the Arsenal officials than allow him to join us.

You still don't get it do you?

Cole wants out. We would not be selling him if he didn't want out. Arsène wanted him to stay, but Cole wants to leave this club. He wants to go drinking and groping waitresses with his buddies Fat Frank and John 'Handball' Terry, because they are so frightfully English.

So let's get the facts straight:
1) Cole met with Chelsea.
2) Cole wants to leave Arsenal.
3) We want to sell.

So why is Henry *****ing? If he likes Cole so much he should think about joining Chelsea, because it's 99% sure that Cashley will never play for us again.

3 parties have to agree to a deal so it's not as simple as you're making out. Cole may want to leave, but he is still under contract at Arsenal, and therefore the club do not have to sell.

While I'm impressed with your creative names for people, I really don't give a **** about what Ashley does in his social life, (what the f**K does groping waittresses have to do with anything?) or who he chooses to socialise with.

Henry is a winner. He has been throughout his career. If him '*****ing' equates to showing concern about a possible willingness to part with yet another massive player in such a short space of time, without truly strengthening then we better sell him too eh?

Alternative players? Ha. Mourinho got rid of a pretty good left back. There aren't that many left backs better than del Horno. Generally, left back is the weakest position in world football. Mourinho has no available options at left back.

Methinks that if we wait til Friday, Mourinho will come up with the money.

That is all well and good but what do you do then with player who wants to leave and doesn't want to play for the club. You can't just keep him because firstly its unlikely we will ever see him play for us again so Arsenal will still lose his services while still paying his wage.

Secondly you risk further conflict within the team as players take sides and if Cole keeps coming out with things.

Finally Cole can play the Arsenal are keeping me as a prisoner story to further destabilize the club. There comes a point when a player wnats out when you have to relent for the greater good.
In an ideal world we wouldn't sell cole and no player would ever want to leave, but surely Henry can see that we don't live in that type of world. I can't believe someone of Henry's intelligence can blame Arsenal when its ashley who wnats to go. Its not as if there has just been one enquiry and we have said we are selling. There has been a long campaign of unsettling and courting Cole by Chelsea and the player releasing statements to engineer a move with no attempt to address the fans or any counter claim.

So according to you we should keep a player who doesn't want to be here and, more importantly, has spit in our faces repeatedly, just because he is good?

Where is your sense of loyalty to the club? If your wife banged your neighbour, would you still keep her around because she's pretty and a great cook?

yeah, but she still makes your neighbour look like a don when she goes to him for good! so wouldn't you rather she stays in your basement for a couple of years and then you send her away to wherever she wants to go after she becomes ugly and a leper?

 how much longer before I'm banned for saying that?

And you'd pretty much be the laughing stock of the world. Like we would be if we kept Cole.

lol i dont care who laughs at me if i am sleeping with cheryl tweedy my friend lol anyway dont think my girlfriend would approve lol....yeah i know what you are saying about cole...he is disloyal to a club that gave him a chance and made him the player he is today......we have to sale him...no sorry...we need to sale him! he cant be doing anyone at the club any good with his negative thoughts and actions and if we dont sale him then we should let him rot in the reserves untill his contract runs out....

The problem with this analogy is that you don't loose any transfer money for your wife and when she leaves you she will take the kids and 50% of you earnings

although everyone seems to be resigned that cole is leaving, me too i guess. I really hope he doesnt because we all know how good he is and it will be a huge blow to arsenal if he does leave. twice as much if he goes to our main rivals.
