The Wish List

Honestly, I just want somebody with presence and strength that could organize our defensive set-up. I really don't care who that is.

If there had been no ACN this next season, I would have been reasonably ok with Denilson and Song as our first 2 CM's. But yeah, we definetly need another good head in there.

In:
- Lescott or Naldo
- Lorik Cana
and another wide/attacking player.

Out:
- Diaby
- Adebayor
- Silvestre

No doubt Diaby lines up first day of next season. Must be a 5-year plan to get him ready to play consistently.

I can imagine the football pundits having the time of their lives pronouncing that name... Chygrynskiy... I can't even spell it properly without looking at it 3 times!!

Maybe my drink problem (which i've just admitted too - first step Dools), has made me look at things differently. But things really aint as bad as they seem.
Nasri is out, mate.

edit: Shaktar's central defender Chygrynskiy (for the wish list)
Just googled him and my word the guy looks a monster. How good is he? Is he ready to play regularly for a club like ours? Certainly has the physical attributes we so badly need.

The funny thing about this is that when I saw him yesterday, I thought he was 30/32 or something, but after checking some of his details, I´ve found out he´s 22 which seemed to be absolutely unbelievable to me.

You just don´t see such a young centre back playing like that in the UEFA final game too often. It was like he was playing a game like that every now and then, calm, precise passes, wasn´t afraid of making a tricky pass, a king in the air. An ideal solution to our problems one would say!

From what I´ve read though, Pool have been keeping an eye on him for some time already. Don´t know why would they need a new CB but you better be there earlier Arsène, a big fan of him I´m now.

right, wasnt sure where to put this.

i know you will always get those who claim to be in the know etc, and im not claiming that i am either, but...

One of my old school mates does scouting for Villa around my town and surrounding villages (in the midlands, obviously) and as such, gets to talk to a few of the Villa lads.

Well he has informed me that after speaking to Craig Gardner, he has heard that Gareth Barry to Arsenal for £7 million and Diaby.

I'd take it with a pinch of salt obviously, but still, interesting...

Yes. I wish for this.

Can't see Martin O'Niell signing a player like Diaby though.

I've actually heard good things about him too. A big, strong lad with decent technique and the ability to bring the ball out of defense. Sounds cool. Liverpool are looking at him apparently, and if there's one thing Rafa knows it's a good CB when he sees it.

Only can judge him on a few matches. Was even more impressed with his positional awareness & his incredible accurate long passes (don't know a CD in the EPL with a passing range like that) than with his physical attributes.

Quoting myself - first sign of madness!

Might be getting my wish with Lescott, though the Metro is worse than The Sun.

Arsène Wenger is set to move for Everton defender Joleon Lescott after discovering Philippe Senderos wants to quit the Emirates Stadium.

I cannot believe they pay people to write this stuff.

Gissajob. He hedges his bets a bit though, the tosser: '... with Bolton's Gary Cahill, West Ham star Matthew Upson, Fulham's Norway international Brede Hangeland and Middlesbrough's David Wheater also believed to be targets'.

Lorik Cana has admitted that he would relish the opportunity to test himself in the Premier League.

The Albania international is currently contracted to French giants Marseille, but has refused to rule out the possibility of securing a move to England this summer.

If he's technically good enough and mobile enough to play at Arsenal, there's no doubt he could be a beast next to Fabregas.

Lescott still want to stay at Everton:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.setanta.com/uk/Articles/Football/2009/05/24/Premier-League-Lescott-on-future/gnid-54345/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.setanta.com/uk/Articles/Foot ... nid-54345/</a>

“It flatters me but I’m focused on my job here and I don’t need distractions,” Lescott told the News of the World.

“I want to be part of Everton’s future.

“I’m sure he manager will look to bring in more this summer. He’s done well in recent years.

Have always wanted Toulalan but wonder whether we need a more physically dynamic metronome in the Flamini mould, rather than a classy holder. If so, Cana.

Bassong must be get-able now that Newcastle are down. I've got a Geordie mate who reckons he's better than Gallas!
