In a heartbeat. I don't think Everton are keen on selling anyone this summer though. They refused an offer from City for somewhere around £20 million is rumours are to be believed.

There last bid was for £10m apparently and their new one, which is expected to be accepted will be £15m

sabre: Cheers, hadn't heard that. Yeah, for 15 million I'd take him. Only if we lost a centreback though because we've got plenty of them already as it is.

I get what you're saying, but he'd walk into our club as instant third choice at least for me. Only central defenders that stand above him are TV and WG.

Do you honestly know enough about him to say Vermaelen stands above Lescott?

For me, Lescott on paper at least is definitely the better player. I'd take him ahead of Hangeland too.

Eboue, Senderos & Toure to follow Ade OUT.

AW to follow if he can't strengthen the squad with close to 50m raised in sales.

Whatever happened to Alberto Zapater? I'd reckon he'd be a quality signing maybe... Who watches La Liga/Zaragoza?

I want one of the following realistic options for a CM:

- Alberto Zapater. 24 years old, Spanish, 1.8m, Real Zaragoza
- Gojko Kacar. 22 years old, Serbian, 1.83m, Hertha BSC
- Angelo Palombo. 27 years old, Italian, 1.77m Sampdoria
- Ognjen Vukojevic. 25 years old, Croatian, 1.84m, Dynamo Kyiv
- Mahamadou Diarra. 28 years old, Malian, 1.83m, Real Madrid
- Arturo Vidal. 22 years old, Chilean, 1.81m, Leverkusen

All of these players are quality, in the age range we should be looking, and are absolutely affordable.
