Who pays their wages? who sits on the bench?

Its 3 extra players with Squilacci Almunia Diaby Rosicky Arshavin Chamakh Mannone etc all gone. It would be achievable imo although i'm probably aiming a little high with De Rossi.

@ floating I love that guy, mentioned him numerous times here. Would be a fantastic squad player.

Tbh, that squad wins the league.

TBH IMO there isn't enough firepower in the forwards.
Add the likes of Pato / Doumbia / Cavani / Damiao / Lavezzi ahead of Gervinho, and put Gervinho ahead of Walcott/Ox.

My Christmas Wish for Santa = for AW to surprise us all & actually break our transfer record & sign someone of 'special quality' that we've been waiting for since he told us in the summer.

TBFTBHIMOROFL, the first choice front three would be

Hazard - RvP - Podolski

Hilariously good front line.

Yes it's good,
but I'd still rate the front 4 BEHIND the current City options particularly if AW plays the wide men as wingers & to support the FBs,
(let alone whatever signings any of the other clubs looked to strengthen with).
Saying that it would win the league is presumptuous / premature.

I'm not so sure about that bro. RvP is better than Aguero, Podolski is better than Balotelli and Hazard is better than Nasri/Johnson/Dzeko on that right hand side imo.

We'd also have better CBs, although their midfield and general squad depth would still be better.

I'd say it's more a case of RVP v Balotelli leading their respective lines,
with Aguero & Silva v Podolski & Hazard,
in which case I only give RVP the points for us.

Krasic has lost his way at Juve a bit, I like him as he's the type of winger that we desperately need but I feel all new signings should be slowly integrated into the team not thrown into the deep end. So Krasic would come here as a back up and once he proves that he's better than Walcott then he will have his place.

At the risk of being ignored as wishlisting, has anyone seen much of Samba Diakité? he's leading the french league in successful dribbles, even though he's a defender/DMID. he's scored a couple of spectacular goals, but he's main asset seems to be his physical qualities, very quick and strong, can be pacey, especially on the ball, good enough control. pretty much a poor man's gervinho when it comes to dribbling. could he do a bit-part job for us, and maybe grow into massive player like sagna/song coming through? could especially provide cover in flanks and give width i'm thinking, and could be coached over his deficiencies, see if he makes it. transfermarkt.de values him around 5m E

where you play them would have to change throughout the season due to injuries, fatigue etc. but the overall quality is similar between the two sets of three.

I wouldn't mind if we tried to sign Zamora or Odumwinge as a back up hold up striker .

If it wasn't for Demba Ba's knees, he'd be an excellent backup to RvP. This guy can score all sorts of goals.

Newcastle got the bargain of the season: 13 PL goals from a free tranfer before the new year is tremendous.
