If this is true then I would love Javier Hernandez here. However, AF would never sell him to us.

Very weak rumours linking us to David Villa, I would love that to happen and it's not that unrealistic.

Villa will cost 15m pounds plus he is in high wages and he is 31 years old.

he is class player but can't see this happening.

I wouldn't want David Villa anywhere near Arsenal. That **** is a serial diver.

He's fit in briliantly with cazorla then

He's be our best striker hands down and i'm not a bank manager so i'd love him here

Villa just turned 31. I'm a big fan but I just dont know. Maybe for 10m, 15 is too much.

but lets think about it realistically. what is £5m to arsenal? with our revenues?

hes quality. if he comes in during the january window, catches fire, and wins us an FA cup, then what does it matter?

****, i'd be thrilled if he got us to the semis of the CL.

its not our money. an extra £5m doesnt make a difference to our bottom line

Exactly in the grand scheme of things what is an extra 5m if it guaranteed us extra quality, got us top 4 and shot us towards an FA cup final?

The thing with us it that it isn't an extra £5m, it's £5m that might now not be spent elsewhere. It could be the £5m difference between us getting Gervinho or Cazorla, us persisting without goalkeeping backup or not being able to cover a current or new player's wages.

31, dodgy injury issues and a massive wage? Sounds far too much like he could go the same way as Arshavin. After hearing the complaints on here about him for the last year or two it's kind of ironic. Too many over paid, non-contributing or injury prone players as it is, we don't need another high risk signing.

Damn i would be one happy Gooner if we managed to sell Djourou, Arshavin, Santos and Chamakh in January and bring in Sunzu, Diame and a top winger/striker (both if Theo goes out).

Sunzu as a 4th choice CB with a lot of upside. Diame for some muscle and bite in MF and as a proper attacking option I wouldn't mind Villa, Turan sounds nice as well. And then to top it off, Shaw to push Gibbs and Zaha to add some future flair.

In the summer, we sell the other crap like Gervinho, Park and Bendtner, and Squid is out of contract isn't he?

I didn't even dream so flashy this time and it stil sound like si-fi...

I normally despise wishlists and transfer fantasies (unless it involves Cesc). but i'm getting spoiled by this increase in revenues and the vague hope that the board will freak out and move to secure UCL qual. ala 2009.

let's pretend that, in some strange universe or parallel reality, by some millennial alignment of stars, we spend 50m this january. let's say 10m of that is budgeted for wages.

how would Arsène Wenger - the former version, the one that bought Jeffers, Henry and Arshavin - spend that fackin' money? Before someone mentions it, casinos and winery is out of the question. He would never.
