They came very close in a league with much stronger competition. Last season a team with Ake and Stones as main stays won the treble lol

That season a team with Wes Brown and Owen Hargreaves as mainstays won the league & CL double. This Man city side are better than Utd and Liverpool are better than that crap Chelsea team of that year. Wenger managed to finish behind a side managed by Avram “bloody” Grant ffs, a resignation worthy accomplishment.

You say this like these are thier main players like this is not a team spearheaded by a record breaking Haaland, all timer KDB and a team that can afford to have a prime Mahrez on the bench. Bro you can make a point without taking a piss

That’s just your nostalgia speaking.

The invincibles got knocked out in a double tie to an abysmal Chelsea led by Ranieri ffs. Look at our numbers instead.
Ranieri’s league title was an incredibly impressive coaching job. Mik’s ceiling is to Ranieri us a title but to do it for ten or twenty times the money and time

Its not nostalgia bro but just my opinion. As we saw against Porto, this team are flawed and lacks a lot of player spontaneity.

Ten years ago, we had Özil, Santi, Alexis and Ramsey. Proper stars.

They also pump this stat of more goals. For 30 years they been changing rules and have almost outlawed going to ground for a challenge in 75 percent of situations it is a card often red. It is like the Nba, they make it illegal to defend then pat themselves on the back how great their modern scorers are. In football they even tweaked the ball to increase goals. To think Havertz being positively compared in an attacking or technical sense to Santi, Ramsey, Özil, or Alexis is comical. No joke i am better passer than Kai

This Arsenal team would absolutely decimate that one. You're ignoring how much higher the standards in football are right now.

This Arsenal team's pressing alone would suffocate that Arsenal side. They would never be able to get going. It's the speed of play, tactical awareness and passing efficiency which would separate the two sides.

But it's the difference in defensive ability which is the most glaring. Who was the holding midfielder in that Arsenal side? Coquelin? He wouldn't even be on the bench right now. Our first choice is Declan Rice. And even Partey is better than Coquelin.

Let's not even talk about the defenders. It's not a competitive comparison.

TLDR; this Arsenal team would not lose the title to Leicester.

Guys like Saka, Ødegaard, Saliba are proper stars in the making tho, they're of a similar quality.

With exception of Santi, I much much prefer the current crop. As personalities & as players too. Ok Sanchez was amazing but he mugged the club off in the end.

Been saying this forever. It’s clear to see. It’s not an attack either, people shouldn’t get defensive, we support that Arsenal and this Arsenal.
So the team that got beaten to the Title by Leicester City, and then the following season finished behind Tottenham, is better than the current Arsenal team?

Are you and @GoonerJay24 on a wind-up? Haha.

This entire post is complete ignorance. If anything, football standards have declined. I'm watching Luton now, attempting to play out from the back and looking clueless. At least Bolton, Blackburn, Sunderland etc knew what they were.

If this current team faced the side that started for us in the 2015 final, adapted to any football tactical era, the 2015 team would win comfortably. They had more experience, spontaneity, responsibility, and a better coach.

Lastly, we never bottled the league to Leicester with the number of injuries we had that season.

It's concerning seeing such ignorance in one post. Fans like you are the reason why I connecting with modern Arsenal.

This is probably the poorest Arsenal team I have ever seen. Don’t let the weak league fool you.

Eh? You’ve seen teams with Doorshoe and Gallas at the back + Chamakh my ***** up and Gervinho in attack??

Short term memory?

That Arsenal team, which lost the Title to Leicester - NOT Man City's Pep - To LEICESTER - is better than the Arteta's side which....is competing with Pep's City?

The Arsenal team you're boasting about, finished behind Tottenham!

They literally couldn't even qualify for the CL, the team had to be dismantled. That's how I know you're an absolute troll and should not be taken seriously.

The Arsenal team which you're boasting about, couldn't beat Ranieri's Leicester to the title. They would stand no chance competing with City's Pep or Liverpool's Klopp.

They even finished outside the top 4. There's nothing more to add here. Please don't stray too far from reality.

No we didn’t bottle it. We just drew to West Ham, then palace at home then drew Sunderland in April alone. Lost home to Swansea in March. We sure didn’t bottle it no

Arsenal Quotes

You kind of never leave Arsenal. How many comebacks do you make? At one point it will turn out to be a bad move. We all love the first Rocky but I'm not too sure about the last one.
