They even went out to a fc midtjylland team that has started playing poorly in the Danish league under a new manager.

Meanwhile, Brøndby drew RB Salzburg in the qualifers..... Salzburg, who just beat Atletico and Barcelona in their preseason matches.
Brøndby who has about 6-7 of our starters from the past season - which was the first Danish Championship title in 16 years(!) - either sold or expired where mainly the players wanted to push their careers other directions.

It's going to get grim, I fear.

Crazy how Malmö managed to score 2 goals with a man down against Rangers away. They seem to have developed a habit of beating Scottish teams in CL qualifiers.

Hopefully they make it to the group stage, I have no connection to the city of Malmö but Swedish teams being successful in Europe is good for Swedish football as a whole and not only in improving our coefficient that determines the number of teams that get to play in Europe.

Nervous for Brøndby going against rb Salzburg.

Brøndby has 6 players out due to Covid regulations + 2 other injuries. Meanwhile also having not replaced losing almost our entire back 3+keeper in the window as well as selling Jesper Lindstrøm (the replacement for him is out with covid..). We don't even have enough players to fill the 12 seats on the bench.

All things considered 2-1 is a good result for Brøndby. Players returning for the 2nd leg. Maybe a signing or two. Brøndby Stadion. Anything can happen.
