no, but if 4 of our boys battered someone to death its not really a massive consolation they did so for non-footballing reasons.

Only thing is the papers are going to big it up. Liverpool fans are ignorant and will take it personally, hopefully it won't escalate to a big rivalry or more violence.

Not really though. It had nothing to do with football.
Its like saying its our fault for 9/11 because Bin Laden reportedly went to a few games at Highbury.

doesn't appear to be football related, but if there was any link I seriously wouldn't fancy going up there any time in the near future. The old 'uns here will remember the 80s where a Gooner was stabbed to death by West Ham, The whole thing ran and ran including the leader of West Ham's ICF being shot by a Gooner and the entire fixture being a nightmare to attend for years.
Galatasaray in Copenhagen must have been hilariously funny as well for the plastics here.

I don't see why it should really. From how that article reads, it states that the four suspects arrested were Arsenal fans, and as for the victim, it doesn't say who he was a fan of, if any at all. It doesn't state he was a Liverpool supporter, and also says he was from London, so there's a chance he may have possibly been an Arsenal fan too.musicmonkey said:

Who knows whether they were even Arsenal fans, they might have just wanted to blend in with the masses and later go home in a large group without being noticed. It's sad that somebody had to die, and it's nothing that shouldn't be mentioned at all, but when the cops explicitly say that it's *not* football related then it's quite sure that it isn't.
