League is very weak
I like Ramsdale, but I really don’t see why we let Martinez go. He’s clearly a top GK.

He’s been excellent for Villa. Arsenal fans are like bitter women with ex players. Proper weird.I do, he’s been terrible for Villa last season, hates the crowd.

I live 2 minutes from Villa Park, i think I know more than you.Last year he was poor. No point arguing about it.

Can’t help but route against him.
...death or glory for this man next season, you can tell he doesn't do things normally.
Really? Think he’s one of those you want to do well. Can’t help but route against him.
Don’t like how arrogant he got after a few months of good form. Started doing weekly podcasts/interviews and went **** for the rest of the season.Really? Think he’s one of those you want to do well.
Either way, selling Martinez looks a massive mistake.
Think goalkeepers have to be crazy, arrogant or weird. Looks like a big character in the dressing room too. Better than having a cold polish Tesco security guard like Leno.Don’t like how arrogant he got after a few months of good form. Big questions marks going into this season.
At least get your facts right, he spent the bulk of his time here on loan. Young GK’s rarely just sit on the bench. After his loan at Reading many here felt he was ready for the first team. The coaches within the club told him he’ll eventually breakthrough at Arsenal, which he did during our FA Cup run.Glad we got rid of Martinez. Guy talked bigger than his performances. Sat the bench for 10 years literally doing nothing and expected to be rewarded.
Not sure why @GDeep™ keeps recycling old ****e arguments tho
Sure, sitting the bench is an expression that has a different connotation for me whereas young players in football can be loaned elsewhere to play for development when they would ride the bench for their own club. It's a catch all phrase used for non-starting players in the way I think about it.At least get your facts right, he spent the bulk of his time here on loan. Young GK’s rarely just sit on the bench. Don’t know why you’re so bitter for, this is a guy who helped us win a cup, and has genuine love for the club.
Nobody is crying, we’re on a forum. There is a discussion about Wenger going on atm in the Arteta thread.Sure, sitting the bench is an expression that has a different connotation for me whereas young players in football can be loaned elsewhere to play for development when they would ride the bench for their own club. In any case, it's time to stop crying over this dude and move on.
