Good source for Wolves, think this would make a lot of sense. Issue is whether Wolves have the cash.

Hang on, Wolves have Jose Sa, who in fairness is a good keeper. What do they want Ramsdale for? Will the media make a big deal about them having two keepers? Doubt it. Will they make a big deal about it if he benches Sa? Doubt it. Same as when he benched Leno. God forbid when it’s him on the receiving end of it.
That said Wolves is about Ramsdales level.

This was my main issue with the Raya signing.

It has nothing to do with favouring one over the other, but it has everything to do with Raya not being massively better than Ramsdale.

So essentially we're gonna go from Ramsdale as #1 to a Turner type as #2, to eventually Raya as #1 with probably a Turner type as #2. Different and a little better, sure, but a year's worth of headache and talk better?

It just felt and feels like a semi-pointless carousel for a minor upgrade, but we're here now so we'll have to make it make sense.

I hope we get a fair price for Ramsdale when it all goes down.
Do you really think "a little better" meaning an extra 3-4 points this season isnt worth "headaches and talk".... listen to yourself. We need to find improvements wherever we can, even marginal improvements can make all the difference. How far off were we from winning the title last season?

BS rumour anyway. There is absolutely no way Ramsdale is benching Sa. GK should be the least of Wolves worries.

Think Brighton or Brentford will make a move for him. Only openings I can really see within the league for him. Palace as well maybe.

What kind of headache do you have?

We bought Raya who is clearly better with his feet. I guess we will sell Ramsdale for more that we have to pay for Raya. Buy a cheap BU. Maybe even on the money side.

Sa is not reliable. But Ramsdale is kind of the same. Loan with obligation to buy for around 30m is fine for me.

His situation reminds me of Joe hart and how media and ex players were defending him and how bad he was treated and how top clubs would take him. It never happened and it won’t happen here. Wolves is the only link that makes sense

Why would United be queuing up to sign him? He's not exactly an upgrade on Onana who they've just spent £55M on.
Find it funny how Ramsdale gets back into the side, has a poor game, yet the media spin it that all these top clubs will be fighting for his signature. Same thing after his poor performance against West Ham.
Wolves, in all honesty, would be a good move for him, thats about his level.

Makes sense.

He is gonna leave, it just won't be in January. But I think it is likely that the clubs he is seriously linked with this January (they may even table their offers and get rejected to lay down their markers) will the one of the teams he ends up at in the summer.

And I'm sure we're already well underway in our scouting and analysis of who will replace him next summer. For some reason, mostly because of how he was asked to play under Bielsa, I think Meslier might be an option, but that's just a completely random thought.

But it likely will be someone most if not all of us have never heard of, and I'm sure the boring and stale Runnarson jokes and comparisons will flow

I will sell him in Jan if we get a quality like Mat Ryan or even Ospina.
