Good for Ramsdale’s career. He is an excellent keeper, don’t let anyone tell you different.

Southampton got a bargain here at 18m.

Lets hope Raya can play every match.

He was a good keeper for where we were at when we were 8th in the PL trying to get back into Europe.

Unfortunately for him, he was passed by when we turned into one of the best teams in Europe.

But yeah, he’s better than a lot of people here are giving him credit for and would be a nice add for a mid-PL team and very nice add for Southampton.

Nketiah and Ramsdale sale will reduce the overall wages as well, replacements won't be on 100k contracts which will open up spot for a big signing.

The proof is in the pudding, if he was as good as some here say, he certainly wouldn’t be signing up for relegation with Southampton. Simple as that.

Good luck Rammers, thanks for the wind-ups.
Relegated clubs are his level, Arteta must’ve thought he could get Ramsdale to a higher level but Aaron just can’t concentrate enough and doesn’t take his job seriously.

This is what happens when you’re too busy trying to be a class clown instead of focusing on your game. Relegation awaits.

Very good shot stopper but too weak mentally, error prone, and inconsistent to be a top keeper especially with the ball

The outcome is not ideal from a price perspective but I'm fine with it overall

I think Edu has done a good job this summer getting reasonable fees for players who were effectively turned into deadwood by Arteta

I remember when Aaron first came here, his reception wasn't great. He was mocked for Sheffield and Bournemouth's relegations and largely written off as not being good enough. Yet he came here and made the position his own for a good while as a large part of a side that pushed City close for the title. You can't question that he cared too.

Ultimately, Arteta had a vision for someone else in Raya as he wanted a different profile and the team has evolved and improved, but that doesn't change that Ramsdale outshined expectations and generally played well. Seems a good bloke too. Hope he gets the gracious exit he deserves.

Ramsdales shot stopping good, distribution erratic from excellent to poor often in the same game and set plays corners especially seemed nervous at times.

Concentration levels admits gets distracted, good GK overall and at 26 got 10 years ahead of him just needs a run of games rebuild his conficence, hope the move goes well.

Our best keeper but only Southampton and Wolves were interested?

Name a keeper who has had a better performing season than Ramsdale in his first season?

Szczesny golden glove season was was good but not to the standard Ramsdale was that season. Leno very goodb too in his first season with us but not level Ramsdale was.

Ramsdale should got PFA selection in his first season but wrongly didn't and was given it on the back of that season the season following.

He is the second keeper on a team competing for trophies. Of course he has value. The assumption is that Raya will play almost every match. We’ll see.

He’s the second keeper who only managed about 5 games last season. And bar the league I’d hardly call our efforts in the league/fa cups competing. It’s a fair price considering his lack of playing time.

Ramsdale was good for our top 4 aspirations, we have raised our level. Hope he gave a good career and step up as England no#1

Only £1m on PL survival.
That's a good thing. I assume Ramsdale has a relegation clause in his deal. No way he is willing to go to Championship at this point in his career.

So if they stay up, Arsenal will get more money. If they drop, Arsenal will get more money from the sell-on clause.
