Tets could've gradually phased out Ramsdale by having him appear off the bench, in the league, for Raya a few times & vice versa before determining one was destined to be the league campaign keeper with the other deputizing during cup runs.

But that would require a modicum of tact, a concept which has proven to be totally alien to him.

Yeah a continuing and pretty big weakness in Arteta's management imho.

Chelsea want him?

The same Chelsea that spent 40M on a City reserve player and 25M for a keeper from Brighton?

We still owe them for Cashley, Fabregas, Gallas, Willian, Cech, David Luis, Jorginho and now Havertz.

British? HG quota?

A January transfer as well?

You all saying 35M are having a laugh, 70M and Havertz back on loan or Todd can kick rocks. I'd sell him for 40M outside of the PL, but Chelsea? Nah, they've screwed us over too many times on transfers.

Tbh, considering it's Chelsea it may actually be possible to sell for more than £35M.

Personally, I'd probably take £40M for him; we've already seen how this can pan out with Arteta and if Ramsdale isn't able to get back in his plans his value is going to sink.

I’d be surprised if he makes it past January. Looking at Southgate’s comments there’s no way Ramsdale doesn’t beg to move and so he should.

The question is can Edu actually get any money for him?

Get money in Jan? From who? Everybody around us has a better GK or similar.

Chelsea might give us 50m, but we will end up with 3 new deadwood players after buying them for 200m anyway

Stay away from doing any sort of business with Chelsea

25m? We’d ask for 35m from them surely. English international keeper.
He’s a squaddy for England. That aside, I don’t know how you get such a price for a player that other clubs know we don’t want and is unhappy.

We paid 20 something for him.

Lol he’s going on loan tbh, kick the can down the road until summer.

Goalkeeper is not like outfield players, most teams have their #1 and #2 set by Jan. The type of clubs who don’t are normally broke and have no choice but to entertain a loan.

No way we sell him to chelsea. Not for money anyway.

We’ll probably give them Ramsdale and Kiwior for Connor Gallagher

A calm and collected individual.
Look at the sales of other keepers. Sanchez was Brighton back up kepeer and Chelsea paid 25m for him. James Trafford played league one football and City sold him for 20m.

Ramsdale is shouldnt be sold for less than 40m. Especially if Chelsea are the bidder.

Good source for Wolves, think this would make a lot of sense. Issue is whether Wolves have the cash.

What do we do if this happens? Sign yet another keeper or just have Hein as direct backup? Bit risky.

This was my main issue with the Raya signing.

It has nothing to do with favouring one over the other, but it has everything to do with Raya not being massively better than Ramsdale.

So essentially we're gonna go from Ramsdale as #1 to a Turner type as #2, to eventually Raya as #1 with probably a Turner type as #2. Different and a little better, sure, but a year's worth of headache and talk better?

It just felt and feels like a semi-pointless carousel for a minor upgrade, but we're here now so we'll have to make it make sense.

I hope we get a fair price for Ramsdale when it all goes down.

Arsenal Quotes

Ian Wright was the incredible striker for whom those around him sometimes found hard to control especially the opponents. He was an extrovert, hyperactive, and had endured an extremely hard life. His playing style was instinctive, and he had that killer instinct, a player like no other.
