Hahaha. It’s funny that Ramsey is now the key. But when was the last time he performed against any big club away from the Emirates in the league. He has been one of the biggest liabilities in all the 6-0, 5-2, 6-3 thumpings we keep getting. With or without Ramsey we were not beating any top 5 team away from the Emirates.

Ramsey didn't even play in the 6-0 at Stamford Bridge or 5-1 at Anfield. Put in a very good performance in the 2-0 win at City even though Coquelin took all the credit.

We can't give 250k a week to player that is only fit for half a season. Absolutely worth it ability wise, we are rubbish without him but we can't deal with the constant injuries. Should sell I think.

Find it quite funny you have to go back almost 5 years for some of those beatings and even then you get them wrong.

Didn't play in the 6-0 to Chelsea if that's what you're referring too, nor the 5-1 to Pool that season.

Don't know what 5-2 game you're on about and as for the 6-3 game that was hardly his fault, the entire team went all out and conceded 2 goals in the last 3 minutes.

Some of our best away performances like the 2-0 away to City and the 0-0 at Chelsea he was a key figure in those in fact.

Seems like some of our best performances come when hes plays like a midfielder like you gave above and some our worst is when he thinks hes a CF (ie Liverpool), but that's the problem with Ramsey as you never know which player you're going to get on the day.

I think it's too simplistic to say it's been just down to his positioning. Him getting forward can work in big games, the FA Cup final and the goal we worked vs Utd at home.

A lot of the beatings we get the entire team set is an absolute joke. Look at the 4-0 away vs Pool. We set up with Oxlade-Chamberlain at LWB and benching our new signing up front.

I'm not sure whether the team or Wenger is too blame but games when we have a settled team regardless of form we often come out with a real, solid game plan.

Getting countered on used to be a real problem for Wenger teams but these days we just seem to give the ball away or forget how to mark at set pieces.

I wish Ramsey and Wilshere had Xhaka's fitness. Ramsey does good work and is then injured. He'll take an age to hit top gear again as per usual. What do we do? We just can't seem to rely on him. :(

If Ramsey isn't fit for the final...that'd be a big setback. Big game player.

Xhaka has only missed 3 games through injury since he's been here. The utter b*stard.

Can see Wenger trying to block him from playing in this Cup

Yes, it is too simplistic to say its just down to his positioning, and criminal to say his forward runs are the root cause for our self destruct button.

But, take note what @James Bond said. When Ramsey sits in the middle between our attackers and defenders, we play better. We are more secured in midfield and he's good with winning back the ball.
He should pick his moments to burst into the box late and not scamper up as soon as we get the ball. That entirely kills the element and purpose of late runs, and makes us too top heavy and a massive **** off gaping hole in midfield, or forces Özil deep unnecessarily. When he plays that disciplined midfield game, he's unplayable. It's only when he switches off and stands in the opponents' box or edge of it that messes up our play.
