The 21-year-old midfielder is contracted to City until 2014 and has been playing on loan in Norway this season with Stromsgodset, with Sky Sports reporting that he has received 'rave reviews.'

And today he has been speaking out on his future and has been surprisingly open about his desire to sign for Arsenal.

"I'm very flattered to be linked with Arsenal, I grew up as an Arsenal fan and my hero was Patrick Vieira when he was playing there.

"I would be very honoured to play for Arsenal and it would be all my dreams come true to work with Arsène Wenger."

If he looks up to Vieira, why not stay at City?

Because unlike City we develop young players on the job. Wenger gives young players a route to the first team.
