The smart thing to do would be to make Niles first choice, Cedric back-up and sell Bellerin for big money...but despite Hector being "excellent" so far this season according to some posters here, no good team would touch him with a barge pole...interesting...
I personally wouldn’t have been opposed to that and I think PSG would have been an amazing move for him.

What’s your beef with Bellerin anyways?
One of our longest serving players who broke through with your favourite bum ass players I thought he would have got nostalgia points.

I think he’s ok, looked much better when he initially broke through, but doesn’t do enough going forward for me. Kind of odd Mitch has convinced the whole forum he is awful.

Way better than Cedric anyways, that guy is an embarrassment to our whole recruitment “strategy” and shouldn’t be anywhere near the club.

but Holding’s hair transplant was painless
He made me miss Bellerin last night! I like Ainsley a lot, but a spade is a spade. He was ****e!

Trying to add a bit more edge to my gimmick on Arsenal-Mania, don't want to be the clean cut hero anymore!
You are easily one of my favourite posters. Forced edginess is never edgy.

Like I said though, I wouldn't have been opposed to selling Bellerin but I think the club were hesitant to sell him for corona prices maybe. I still think he is our best rb when he's 100%.

AMN could have been better but he gave up a bit too early, position would have been his if he applied himself fully.

I can't see him being anything but a utility squad player. Very useful for us but whether he will remain happy like that we'll have to see.

Came on and looked tired and incredibly lazy. No way back in th first team with that crappy attitude.
Why can’t it just be it he came on and wasn’t good? Why do people always question his attitude I don’t get where this theory comes from?? Artetas said many times his attitude has been really good.
Really annoys me

Have the ball away twice once and didn't bother trying to win it back with a minute to go. Go watch the game again. No excuses for it, effort is a non negotiable.

Because his attitude was crap. He came on, sauntered around and gave the ball away with no effort to win it back. @TakeChillPill is right.

No reason why he should be starting for us anytime soon. Like too many of our young guys that come through, think they’ve made it before they’ve proved anything.

I really wanted to keep him when the bid from Wolves came through but if he carries on the way he is then Id be happy to ship him out in January.

I agree with you but today, I think it was appropriate. That one moment where he couldn't be bothered to move in order to come to the ball, hold it up and help us see out the game was absolutely criminal. You've been brought on to hold a lead and erase a horrendous away record both against big 6 clubs and at this particular venue and that requires steam coming out of your ears looking to be first to everything IMO. It's fine to be super casual and nonchalant with your penalty technique. It's not ok to give the ball away due to a lack of effort and potentially drop 2 hard fought for points.

Özil for all his faults had the same problem for years despite trying at times. People wrongfully come to conclusions through body language when some players are naturally languid (always been a thing for AMN).

I agree, I think he was just rubbish on this occasion.

Body language has nothing to do with losing the ball and making no effort to win it back especially having just come on in a tight game away from home in the final 5 mins at Old Trafford.

I dont think lazy is the right word. He's just nonchalant. Overestimating his ability.
I agree, i wouldn't say he's lazy but his ability is very average. His passing is average and his crossing is very poor. Yes he can improve but it'll be improving from a relatively low base.

His standout feature is essentially his athleticism and recovery pace so whilst i'm happy he stayed, he should remain a squad player only and used for specific tactics. Think of a Park Ji Sung for Man Utd and how he was used for specialised purposes.

It’s clear his biggest weakness is that he struggles with concentration but I don’t think he has a bad attitude & simply doesn’t want to. There are times in every match players don’t chase after every ball they lose ... maybe I’m bias cos I like him but his attitude is always questioned whenever he’s out the team and I don’t really know why

That's, like, your opinion, man.

Better today, was actually interested to play a part and played the RWB inverting to midfield well enough.

Cedric was such a pointless signing given AMN was not sold.
