Competent cameo in midfield. So much better when he uses his pace and physicality, and while he had the odd hairy moment he took much better care with the ball in possession. Complemented the others well, and grew in stature as the game wore on.

A much better audition for CM than the Ostersunds game.

He's got a lot of skill and talent but little experience. I hope whoever takes over Arsenal will give this lad the play time he needs to progress.

Didn’t seem out of place at all. I would love to see more tenacity from him. A bit of an Alex song or Lauren frown along with the Coquelin tenacity wouldn’t do him any harm.

He's a fit lad..we need his tenacity and cojones in midfield at madrid. Don't mind him starting..

I knew a day like today would come. He put in a great all-round display and although he tired towards the end, displayed his tactical understanding and pace really well throughout. There is more to come.
