Just another player we'd be trying to get off the books this time next year.
I don't disagree. I just don't see how we sign say a 30-40m specialist LB while needed a top midfielder and maybe another attacker.

Just don't know if the money is there for it all. I've seen some talk about using 3 at the back which would enable Tavares to utilise his strengths and cover abit his weaknesses but who knows if Arteta will go for that. Couldn't see it.

Oh I think the money's there alright. We cleared the decks for Arteta this summer.

Fingers crossed we can get a good LB, CM and Winger. They would need to start getting their **** together mind as you'd ideally have most of the players in for pre season.

Martinez and raphina were an outlay close to 90ish million euro from their starting prices, even more now that Ajax seems intent on keeping him.

The former wasn't even seen as a starter when first linked and we even signed a guy like Viera already.

Everything po8nts towards we having money.

Need to see what kind of targets we have now that our priorities (bar GJ) are gone.

Maybe we're working over time stopping leaks as United and Chelsea just hijack everything instead of doing their own searching

What I don't understand is the rigidity of Artetas playing style.

Under Wenger we had Clichy and sanga both pretty rubbish going forward, but we're decent on the ball and had good recovery pace. Lots of players have played there and done a decent job such as AMN.

What it did allow us to do is give the midfield and the forwards to play with freedom.

The fullback position is literally the least important position in the pitch. We should be strengthening our core, which means a top top CM. Then followed by a wide forward who can dribble and score goals.

If Tavares is coached right, he can definitely contribute, we also still have AMN who made the England squad playing fullback.

LB is not a priority....****iny arteta.
