We have been linked with Alessandro Rosina according to Skysports:

<a class="postlink" href="http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=458699&CPID=21&clid=3&lid=&title=Gunners+target+happy+to+stay" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hli ... py+to+stay</a>
Both Roma and Milan are believed to be pursuing Rosina, although rumours in his home country suggest that Arsène Wenger has dispatched his scouts to compile a report on the Italian youth international.

A very good player from what I've seen, although I'm sure a lot of the posters on here (Mostarac, Mr Wolf etc) will be able to give more information on him. I thought he was a winger, but apparently according to Skysports he's a striker?
Wouldn't mind him to come, although he does lack that experience and rarely do Italians come to the Premiership.

He isnt really a striker.. he plays in the "hole" sort of from what i have seen.Looks more of a playmaker to me. A very skilled player though and never slows down ..keeps it going for the full 90 mins.

It's a promising sign that we're being linked with strikers with big league experience. We've only got 3 who can score and 2 of those are injured, and are unlikely to get through next year's campaign unscathed. I'd expect us to bring in a fourth striker next season.

M+D is right about Italians generally, although there are of course exceptions, such as Zola.

This guy sounds interesting, and there are some decent clips on youtube.

He's a forward, but not a striker. He's classified as a "midfielder" anyway...

Torino topscorer as well, so far.

Well this video is impressive, but you can do such an impressive video about most of the footballers from all over the world. On the other hand somehow I really liked what he is able to do, but this 3 or so mins of his best moves is all I saw of his abilities. You can never know a player good enough before you saw him play at least one full 90 minutes game. Only important question is: Is he what we really need, and would he adopt to English game before December? What would be his price? I'd say no more than 4-5M Punds.
This can also be, yet another, smoke screen.

Rosina is a very good young player, everybody are talking about Pazzini`s 3 goals in the new Wembley but guess who was possibly Italy`s main man in that match, Rosina. He is not really a pure striker though, but more of an winger at times. Having said that, he has played both as an striker, winger and fantasista for Torino because of his versatility. I would like him at Arsenal because he scores goals and creates even more as an winger. Its not certain that he would be a success of course, but he played against English players in that match at new Wembley and probably showed that he more than coped well against English players and English style.

He is worth much more than £4 million I think. He has proved his abilities with Torino for soon 2 seasons now and is very highly-rated by many.

Do you think there is any possibility of him moving here even though he declared his loyalty for Torino, was it just papers speaking for him or did he actually come out and say that?

I like Mancini from Roma he is a winger too isn't he?

Yes, Mancini is a winger. I think he might come to us if he sees that he will not get into one of the big Italian clubs in the near future, if not he might stay at Torino for a while in order to get a move to the top clubs in Italy.

Alessandro Rosina (Loan)

Alessandro Rosina has been offered on loan to Arsenal by Torino. The 24-year-old Italy attacking midfield player, who has been watched by scouts from the North London club, has been tipped for a great future and has been nicknamed “Rosinaldo” for his Brazilian style.

Not much of a rumour, but hey, we're all desperate so here's another player to discuss. :bounce

Re: Alessandro Rosina (Loan)

He doesn't look that quick on the videos I have just seen of him, and a bit on the heavy side.
