I’d drive Iwobi to his new club myself. Cash in to the highest bidder and put that money towards obtaining a better wide player. Simple as that.

Wasn't Iwobi one of the players Emery was keen to work on . Apparently he really came to their notice after his performance at the Nou Camp.

How come Iwobi is not afforded the same 'well lets judge him under a new manager' luxury as the likes of Mustafi, Xhaka, Chambers, Lucas ****ing Perez etc...?

He is 22 with 100 Arsenal appearances, 20 international caps & not close to full potential yet. People bang on about the youth coming through but harsh reality is chances are none will match that.

Lazio can shove the 25m up their ass.

If we are getting rid of Iwobi and Wilshere the same summer we give losers like El Nenny a new contract and Perez a place in the squad.

Then that just confirm 100% for me that we took one step forward and 4 steps backwards. Dreadful if this is how Gazidis is going to run the club.

Think of Iwobi a bit like Lingard. Lingard is about 3 years older than Iwobi, and he's only really started coming to the fore in the last season. Iwobi might never be a real top tier player, but he might just mature a bit later. He's homegrown, he's Arsenal and yeah, it'd be a bit premature giving up on him when he could just be coached better.

Also, we have three big attackers nearing 30, and Lacazette who's a bit younger. Thinking long-term, I wouldn't be selling a 22 year old.

Iwobi has better numbers than Coman.
Iwobi has had better stats than Pulisic over 3 seasons
Iwobi in a "**** season" has better numbers than Richarlison.
Like someone said earlier - his problem is not talent. It is consistency. If he can piece it up, he'll be great.
Oh well...I hope he leaves for his sake. Tired of him being made the scapegoat.
Let's see Reiss Nelson come and perform better and score 30 goals easy

Genuinely amazed at how highly Iwobi is being rated by some on here.

Wouldn’t have been looking to sell him because he’s homegrown, still relatively young and a useful squad option but if Lazio are going to offer that much money then you bite their hand off.

You don’t turn away serious money for a squad player who isn’t good enough to start for the club and doesn’t have much potential to improve. Particularly when you’re desperately trying to compete against clubs with much greater resources than us.

You're making a lot of sense here, but huh? Fabregas didn't produce till he was 24? He was Arsenal captain and on the verge of a move to Barcelona when he was 24.

Well his goal scoring output became more consistent at 24. At Arsenal in his final 3 seasons be ranged from 3 to 19. Either way, it took him from 16 to 22 to really start producing. When you consider Iwobi isn't the same level talent wise and recently broke through. I'd say he is about where he should be.

Hand off bitten and it was tasty. Potential and nothing more. He has had enough opportunities to reach that potential and certainly enough to show more glimpses of it.

A club the size of Arsenal with the ambitions we have cannot afford to hold onto players who don't grab the opportunity with both hands.

We cannot afford to have a 50 million pound player on the bench in every position. Iwobi isn't blocking anyone. He would be adequate cover at the current level he is now.

Someone like Ramsey is potentially blocking someone like AMN who could probably end up becoming twice the player.

Situation reminds of Joel Campbell:

Performed well for a period, afterwards okay. We had a chance to sell him at 10 M€ but refused as he could become good one day...

The same story with Iwobi; one good season and we are still investing time to his development. However he doesn't show any sign of improvement, rather stagnation or even going backwards.

If you compare Iwobi with under 23 players, he doesn't stand out. So why invest time on a player while you can give that time to another youngster such as Nelson?

He is standing out.

Lazio finished on the same points as 4th last season just missing out CL football vie tie breaker. They are reported to be willing to pay 25m for Iwobi to replace Felipe.

Thats not a Joel Campbell or average academy product transfer.

Iwobi is a perfect Wenger player. Players with his touch, dribbling ability and technical chops flourish under Wenger. Its more likely that we're seeing his top level than it is for other players. And anyway, most of us are supporting the managers right to make his own team, the sentiment isn't so much anti Iwobi as its pro Emery.

I'm not sure if this means you want to sell him or not.

And Ramsey blocking AMN  first of no and second of we need to get out of this Wenger think. Nobody blocks anybody. If you're good enough to play you'll play regardless. If you're not then you won't.
