Apparently we're fairly close to landing this lad.

There's been a lot of talk about him being a sensational prospect.

That's really the last thing that we need to hear.

Apparently they want 10 million for him. That's quite alot for Wenger to spend.

Still .. someone for Walcott to eat ice-cream and read the Beano with.

Arsène Wenger is staying tight-lipped amid suggestions that highly-rated youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is set for a move to the Club.

The 17-year-old Southampton forward, dubbed the ‘new Theo Walcott’, burst onto the scene in 2010 and has scored seven goals in 15 starts for the south-coast side this season.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has attracted attention from Premier League clubs and has been linked with a January move with Arsenal reportedly among the teenager’s admirers. However Wenger denied a deal had been done.

“I cannot speak about that,” said the manager. “If we go any further with any player, we will inform you.

Another video, albeit not very good. Chamberlain's the number 7.

According to Southampton fans, he's not the next Walcott. While Walcott is an athletic first and footballer second, Chamberlain is a true footballer and is closer to Nasri than Walcott.

Looks like he has better technique than Theo already.

Get him in. Want to see more forwards with pace coming into the club.

Funny I remember seeing a video like that about THeo a few years back where everybody was drooling just like this too. but from the video, he looks pretty slight and very right footed. good technique though.

I still would buy Hazard over him though if we could only buy one.

Speaking of which, whatever happened to southampthons red and white striped jerseys?

him or hazard? Does anyone know who'll be the better prospect?
Hazard is nearer to being the finished product and has more experience at a much higher level.

I would have Hazard, as I haven't seen Chamberlain against anything apart from Division 1 football.

I would prefer both

We're not getting both, and Chamberlain sounds the more realistic option. Bring him in I say, he looks a good prospect and also prevents our rivals from getting him.

Talent yes, but 10 million, no. Certainly looks like we have enticed another young forward though, he looks like someone who can gain power as he gets older, already got presence in the box this kid , has pace, can finish, likes to play on the wings but i see a future striker here. Didn't expect wenger to go in for him though considering the price tag, would be surprised if we do sign him.

Of course you'd expect him to have better technique than Theo. This kid started playing football as soon as he could walk, near enough, while Theo only started playing around the age of ten. I haven't seen him play though, so can't really comment on him. But no doubt he has talent, as he's being courted by a lot of Premiership clubs. Can't say I'd be too disappointed if we signed him.

Not impressed at all with the videos. Whats the hype with this guy?

but Holding’s hair transplant was painless
The only Alex Chamberlain I know is the chick off Sky Sports News. Don't know much about this guy but does he have the same potential as Theo, Wellington, JET or Hazard? if not then stick with the first 3 names on that list OR put a little extra money in and buy Hazard.
