don't want him back. we have Arshavin and Nasri.

Obviously it's terrible logics, Hleb, however limited he is, did much more than Nasri. People hated Hleb for his bad stats, but Nasri's 2 assists are VERY weak, for someone that was supposed to be a creative midfielder with good passing and vision.

Anyways, Hleb's a classless c**t, who used the worst ever excuse for leaving, "London is too noise and lively for me".

It's not really terrible logic(s). Hleb has been replaced, hence we don't need him.

As for Nasri, it was only his first season here. Hleb was similarly inconsistent when he first joined and indeed also in his second season. Nasri has shown he has great potential and I expect that to come out next season.

i love this 'we have nasri so dont need him'. no-one heard of squad depth? he can play all across the midfield and could offer us alot.

is he a complete **** for what he did to us? Maybe

but its no different to what alot of our current players are doing now (cesc, rvp, ade, eboue all saying that theyre thinking of moving on)

hes a good footballer and i for one would definately have him back, because he is a good footballer.

Burned his bridges and I hope his career dies out. We won nothing with him here so why would that change by bringing him back. This is one former player who I do not want to see back here under any circumstance.

Hleb wants Arsenal return

Alexander Hleb has ruled out a return to Birmingham next season but the on-loan
Barcelona player wants to remain in the Barclays Premier League.

In an ideal world Hleb would like to return to his former club Arsenal although
there have been no moves in this direction.

Hleb has struggled to make an impact at St. Andrew's because of injuries and
missed the Carling Cup final triumph over the Gunners with a knee problem.

He is determined to end the season on a high and help Blues ensure their top
flight status.

But Hleb, who set up the second goal in yesterday's 2-0 win over Sunderland,
believes City's style of football is not suited to his own game.

Hleb said: 'Before, I think teams like Birmingham were easy to play with but
it is difficult when you play in such teams, not like Arsenal or Barcelona.

'Here you need to just fight and run, not too much passing, and this for me is
something new.

'I have enjoyed it in a way because it is something new. This is a different
experience although I prefer to play and to enjoy football.

'But I will give 100 per cent for this club every weekend.'

When asked if there any chance of rejoining Birmingham, Hleb said: "Eh, no,
no. I am happy and enjoy my time here, everything is good here, but this is a
little bit not my way (style) of football.

'Barcelona is the biggest club in the world but it is difficult when you are
not from Spain.

'It has happened with everybody (not being picked) with Henry, everyone. Josep
Guardiola picks the Spanish players.

'I've not had a lot of chances to play there. I prefer to stay in the Premier
League.'

When asked which club he would like to play for, Hleb said: 'I know which one.
I hope everything is good.

'Of course, I love Arsenal. It is always in my heart but now is too early to
speak about a new club.

'I want to give my best for Birmingham but if I have chance to go back (to
Arsenal).....of course.

'Everything is possible but I am just saying if I get this chance, of course
I'd come, but it's too early to speak about this.'

Arsène will lap it up. People asked him for change, he changed of policy of not bringing guys back with Sol and Jens. Now he'll snap up Alex and Jeremie, and possibly Kolo if Man City dump him...the future is now.

Bring him back. Made a mistake but is a quality footballer. People talk about his lack of goals but his ability to hold the ball and create chances is top class. I'd take him back for sure.

Yes please, would be an excellent signing. We play loads of teams who defend deep and mark tight yet we barely have any players who are comfortable receiving the ball under pressure without ****ting themselves. Hleb excels in this area not to mention his world class vision and ability to pick passes in the tightest of areas. Replacing Rosicky with Hleb would be brilliant business.

I would rather have him than Rosicky but thats not saying much, he cant even get into the team he's in right now.

This thread is more of a desperate player plea to return rather than a viable transfer link, but I think we can entertain it for a little while.

He's just ****. Had a 4 month purple patch in his 3 years here and people got excited but at the end of the day he's a *****ball specialist who doesn't score or create goals. And he'd suit us even less now than he did when he was last here. Plus the only position he ever played well in is now Cescs position.
