Think the summer that just passed we really could have got him, tbh.

We finished 2nd and they finished with no European football at all, could have pitched to him that he could be the guy that could take us to our first Emirates era title with the number 14...offer £125-150 million ish (break the record and make him our main guy) and that added to him being in love with Henry...I think it gets down.

Think it will be very hard to get him now, think we missed our chance.

Yeah, it would have been pricey...and we may have had to take a points deduction or transfer ban in the 25/26 season to do it.

But the chance was there, pretty much would have won us the league this year too.

Give Arteta 500 million and he’s not winning a league. Last season was his peak and he failed despite everything going his way. We will never be contenders again under him

Isak is great but as @OnlyOne says not sure he’s what Arteta wants in a 9.

He’d spend the majority of his time back to goal and fighting with CBs rather than making runs as we rarely ever play the ball in behind.

Can't think of a better suited striker than Isak really. In the league anyways.

Does a little bit of everything, can play in a variety of positions (I only like him at CF). I have doubts about his numbers and his reliability for the price he would command.

We should have been braver when he was at Real Sociedad for a better risk/reward proposition.

Think it’s too late for Isak. We talking about +100 million with Newcastle. It’s just very hard to do deals with PL clubs u less they have financial issues or player is running out of contract

There are young strikers on the up to keep an eye on. Sesko going through bad spell, but Hugo Ekitike is an interesting player as well.

It'll take PL record transfer to pry Isak away from Newcastle and his availability is a massive concern.

Availability has been excellent since he arrived in the PL. I think they'd deal at £100-£120M

We were willing to pay to pay that for Rice so why not a game changing forward?

He's missed 38 games for Newcastle since he joined them according to Transfermarkt - that's not good.

He's Isak in more reliable, silky on the ball, rapid and stronger than he looks or than Isak. Wouldn't mind him at all for 460m

He does look very similar to him tbh. From the little I seen of him and Sesko he looks to have better profile for the PL, looks way more mobile

He's missed 16 league games for Newcastle in 3 seasons through injury. 11 of which came when he first joined, so it's very good actually.
