Watching last night helped justify a few of my concerns.

That being said, he’s young and has plenty of qualities our current 9 doesn’t. I think there’s potential you look stupid going for Gyokores over Isak.

You take him over any other option in the market around the +100m~ range.

Already plays on the PL, +he can play on the left, so he could work well with Havertz at CF dropping to win ~aerial duels~ and with Cala pushing up a bit. Would also allow us to go for a real winger the season following his potential signing.

Reckon he could still end up being cheaper than Osimhem as a package.

Issue with him on the left would be the tracking back and the toll it could have on his fitness.

Yeah, that Arteta left wing position can physically take you from this...

Osimhen has 62 million pound clause starting this summer. Right now he earns 115k euros after tax in Turkey with Napoli paying nothing. He would be significantly cheaper than Isak

He will also have a lot more suitors willing to offer him a big wage, specially due to his lowish RC.

Chelsea alone could offer him a 10 year contract or something.

We offer better wages than Chelsea. The whole reason he’s not there is because he doesn’t fit their new wage structure. In terms of resume he’s the best available. It would be nice to go for the most obvious proven choice for once. Sadly I see someone like Sesko and our fans do what united do with Hojlund remind everyone how young he is and he needs time

Respectfully, can you not read? Transfermarkt clearly shows him missing the following games in each season for Newcastle:
  • 2022/23 - 19 games
  • 2023/24 - 12 games
  • 2024/25 - 7 games
For a total of 38 games. That is a terrible injury record.

Respectively I think you misread what I said. I said LEAGUE, in the league he missed 11 games with a thigh injury in his first season. Since then it's been little niggles to miss a game here and there.

Can people do proper research before stepping to me?

:lol::lol::lol:

To be fair, I think he's purposely ignoring the games he missed for Sweden to be pedantic. Whether it was for Newcastle or not is irrelevant, he still missed 19 games that season. It's not like he just magically recovered and then got injured again because FIFA created an international break

If we mention a total of 38 games, shouldn't we consider only the league games. Considering only the league(if the data is right) missing 16 games out of around 80 is not that bad, seeing as he had a long term injury in his first season.

Sorry what the **** is this nonsense? All that matters is the games he misses for the club, because he'll be playing for Arsenal football club if he joins.

His injury records been decent since he joined Newcastle, end of.

Not necessarily. We play in four competitions a season, potentially even more if we win something.

In this scenario, he missed 19 out of a possible 54 games (46 with Newcastle and 8 with Sweden) due to injury which is over a third of games. Compared to the rest of the league, that season was objectively bad.

As for what that actually means though...? **** all really. Should be looking at the whole picture with those 38 missed games like @Gooner Zig initially said.

Okay can we speak facts now? Last season he played 3000 minutes for Newcastle. That's what we need get him in job done.

Might have to be a scenario where you hope for the best but expect the worst.

Kind of like how his own team are with Callum Wilson. They kind of just accept that they’ll have a top quality attack for the 20% of the time he’s around :lol.

Wouldn’t be quite that bad with Isak and off the top of my head he’s had some random injuries and is appearing to get injured less anyway these days.
