And by good performance hopefully a strikers performance, I don't give a **** about him dropping between Luiz and Sokratis to collect the ball, I want to see him making some good runs for once.

He will score

I want him to do what Emery wants him to do. Plus, he is better playing deeper then Auba, so it makes perfect sense he's the one doing it, not other way around.
not to mention it also makes more chaos to the way Pool likes to defend

Yup spot on , stay up front make some runs attack the box . Hate when he drops into midfield and is basically in someone's space .

Had a good season last year, though I was willing to let him go if it facilitated a significant upgrade at left-wing.

We have kept faith in him, in particular with the reported contract extension. Happy to see he wants to continue improving too, there is a lot of room for it. We need to see more from him in goals output and performances away from home.

If I understand it correctly people were waiting for dribbler on the wing and Laca would then stay more up front and attack the box. We will see how it goes this season.

But as a team we got to figure how we can move forward in away games without dropping our attackers to deep. I hate it when Laca drops deep and we pass to him and he is chasing his first touch.

Laca didn't play and it forced Auba to track back and hold the players while Pepe made the runs. But that is not exactly Auba's strength. Both Auba/Pepe could have scored on occasions if they just had someone to support. Both Auba and Pepe are good at dribbling and taking runs. We definitely need Laca to hold back players. That will make Auba and Pepe more lethal. They will have more space to work on.

But then, some losers will just crib about his numbers without seeing what he brings to our game.

You're giving him credit for things he never does. We weren't playing to track back we were playing to counter, our game plan was to defend and get the ball out to Auba/Pepe for fast counter attacks. Lacazette is too slow to contribute to this game plan., people use to hate on Giroud for doing the same job remember.

The fact of the matter is we have another one of our high profile signings that is useless away from home. It's damning on Lacazette that he gets benched so much by both Arsène and Emery and he doesn't get called up to France. Maybe he isn't as great as his fanboys say?

I don't mind him as much as you do, but yeah I think he's heading slowly towards a dead end here. Not sure the club is willing to offer him a new deal, which then could turn out to be another Özil/Mkhi situation.

The problem with Giroud was he did not do the job properly. Xhaka gets played regularly by both Wenger and Emery and gets regularly called to national team. So that makes him good?
Our game play was much better when Laca came in. Even on a counter attack, you need a good pivot. Emery plsyed Ceballos in that role and he was raped. Laca could have played that role much better.

I love Lacazette but still completely agree with Emery’s decision to bench him yesterday.

A front 3 would have been overkill against Liverpool and if you’re only going to start two away from home then Pepe/Auba’s pace on the break is much more threatening.

He’ll start the vast majority of our games but Liverpool (and City) away call for a specialised approach.
