What's he better at, and did he ever put it to any use?
Better than Laca with his back to goal, can hold the ball unlike now where we’re a turnover machine, stronger in the air, his flicks and knock downs are more effective than Laca and his link up play was better. Top target man - put it to use most of the time he was here.

We wanted an Auba though rather than a big man, so he copped a fair bit of stick.

Only thing Lacazette has over him is abit of extra pace and slightly better finishing.

Different types of players, but Giroud was much more well rounded and effective in his role than what Laca offers.

Lacazette is 29 in a few months, would say he’s had an underwhelming career given the early hype.

Rather cash in on him than tie him down to a 3/4 year deal, genuinely don’t think he has anything to offer us.

Better in the air for obvious reasons, knockdowns will come from that. Inferior everywhere else, for me. Better player by a fair bit.

Nah, back to goal, holding the ball, flicks, bringing others into play etc, Giroud is by far superior.

The above are some of the qualities which get mentioned here quite abit when Laca comes up, all inferior to Giroud.

Auba, Laca or Ade...who would you say is the best?

Think of them all at their best for us.

Why you putting Laca in there? What has he done to be in with strikers who have scored 40 goals a season for Arsenal?

You and Jury were talking about Laca...throw Giroud in there to make it a foursome, how would you rank them?

Based on what? Think Ade was the talented of the lot but was crazy, Auba has made a bigger impact and Giroud had the longevity.

All things considered -

Auba
Ade
Giroud
Laca

Yeah, meant as an all round player/striker...you think Auba made a bigger impact that Ade?

Would have his 07-08 above Auba.

Ade for that season was almost unplayable. Had he stayed as motivated as that for longer, he'd be preferred over Auba. At their best, it would depend who they were playing with. I think Ade would do better in this team and Auba would do better in the team Ade had his best season with.

Lacazette gets an easier ride because he’s not the only senior striker like Giroud was.

I’d probably go with Giroud, given the choice though.

Laca is a better footballer than Giroud, but a worse striker. He is much better technically than the donkey, but he has no striker instinct. Giroud on top of being a target man of sort was a decent poacher by the end despite his pace.

Actually on the pace front, our scouts must have gone out of their way to find the one striker that is slower than Giroud, but credit to them they managed it with Laca. Giroud looked like Usain Bolt in comparision to Laca during the EL final.

How do you think Laca would be viewed if he was playing for Liverpool now?

Having speedy goalscoring wingers would take the pressure off his lack of a goals, similarly to Firmino.
