This match was carbon copy of our home game against Norwich at home. We won 1-0 after Auba scored a tap in because he atleast was the 6 yard box. Auba is a better striker than laca despite being past his best

Just going to disagree that we are better with him in the lineup over Laca. When our CMs return, we’ll start winning again, without Auba.

He has had 17 shots all season (in the league). Saka has had almost 3 times as many. Our defensive midfield (Partey) has had 9 more shots and our back up DM (Lokonga) has had 16 shots, only one less than Laca.

The guy just doesn’t get into enough positions to have an attempt on goal.

He is not playing as a true 9 in my opinion. He is asked to come back and connect with the defense amd keep things moving. With that said, when he has an opportunity he is not confident in taking it. We all know that we need to find a striker who can finish since last season.

Is that by design though? If we’re wanting Vlahovic or Calvert-Lewin that seems to indicate we’re not looking for someone who does what Lacazette is currently doing, which makes me wonder if he’s playing to instruction or just altered his game.

Laca was never gonna score loads but his overall play meant we were better than with Auba. The last couple of games has not been as good.
Big Issue at the moment is also other players have dried up.
ESR, Martinelli, Saka & Ode were all bang on it & chipping in.

Now they are not so the CF becomes the focus again.

It's not by design. He just doesn't have the strength and peace to get up the pitch after helping us build through the midfield. When attacking he's usually the attacking player furthest back

He needs Partey and Xhaka in the midfield, his drop in form happened when that partnership was broke up....he doesn't have any real physical attributes, so he needs the team as structured as possible, something we don't have without those 2.
