Don't think we need classic touchline wingers neccesarily. We just need full backs better at doing that job. Sterling and Sane should be closer to our blueprint - pace and dribbling without necessarily staying wide the whole time.Agreed we need a winger that can hug the touchline but we also need one that can score goals because at the minute we only have two goal scorers in the team and we're far too reliant on them. We essentially need the perfect winger reallyIwobi, Aubameyang and Mkhi are all players that would rather play in the middle third of the pitch and none of them look comfortable on the right.
Xhaka does usually move the ball quickly but he has just never been able to go on a run of games without making a mistake. I'm happy with him as a squad player but if we want to challenge for titles in the coming seasons we need to upgrade. I'm desperate for Ndombele, he is more than adequate defensively whilst capable of playing a defence splitting pass and has incredible dribbling. Boubakary Soumare is also a similar player that we should keep an eye on.
We desperately need a new left back, they can add so much quality to a team. Robertson, Mendy and Alonso have all had massive impacts for their clubs.
