He really isn't the greatest defender but then again neither are dani alves and maicon, yet they are so effective. And if you compare to these two, then he is a better defender. Fact is we have two defensive RBs so we need another outlet i.e two offensive LBs now, im glad with this even though i know santos is positionally suspect and not a great defender in any way, he's good going forward and that is what we needed.

Is it just me who longs for the old style photos outside the ground or in a press room with the player holding up his shirt or shaking the manager's hand? Made it seem like a business deal not a fashion shoot.
