Not sure I agree. While they could be platformed better, you can't blame the manager for the likes of Martinelli and Gyokeres not seeing a player wide open and in on goal.

In April we were lamenting the fact that we had absolutely nothing on our bench to change a game. In September, with some active mid and longish term injuries, we've got the deepest squad in England and are in the conversation for deepest in Europe.

We have already renewed every player we needed to renew this year except Saka who IMO is the most straightforward one and is probably 99% done.

If the rumors are to be believed, he's not resting on his laurels either and is already preparing for another summer targeting young talented players.

The only guy in Europe doing work like this is Campos at PSG with his bottomless pit of money. We have one of the very best running the football side of things and I'm over the moon with the job he's done.

His work will be just as instrumental as Tets should we end up with the title next May. In the span of a single Summer, he's managed to jettison a lot of dead weight & supplement our already excellent squad with great additions as well the striker we desperately needed for some time now.

That is elite work if that's true because without those 2 signings I don't think our squad would be deep enough. Well in defence it might be but in attack definitely not. But even Hincapie could turn out to be important if we have some bad luck, or if we go deep in multiple cups.
