Poor @A_G all summer if the current state of this thread is any indication of how it's going to be when the rumors really start flying:

Dave Chappelle Help GIF
Rice and Arteta putting pressure on top management could make for a very tense window indeed and you could see pressure building on the forum already, people are literally on the edge here

To me it sounds Arteta wants players but its then up for the board to decide and get the players. Which is of course more logical than him being 100% control freak and dictator.

Been left very short for recent 3 windows. Think similar must have happen to Wenger.

I missed this earlier but now that I’ve seen it I need to call you out.

It’s not *just* two left footed wingers. It’s 2 left footed wingers, a left footed CAM and a left footed striker. Literally all 4 of our most advanced players ffs.

But you knew that already…
Tbh I was just thinking of the wingers as a pair.

I genuinely don’t think of Havertz when I think of where our team should be, and who cares about Ode.

Also it’s not that deep anyway, in the golden age of football you could easily have a team full of right footers. Give me a world class left footed front four over one that has more balance and mediocre players.

Well yeah but now I’m back at looking at you funny for saying World Class when we talking about Mbeumo.

He’s a good player but he’s not this good ffs.

But yeah there’s just certain movements that you rule yourself out of being able to do with all the attackers being left footed. Like cutting in from the left or going to the bye line down the right. Yeah you make that sacrifice if they’re world class players but it’s just Saka that can claim that (and even then, just).

It's you and that Viktor guy who are going to drive the poor man to prayer.

Milan out of Europe, wonder what this means for some of their top players…
It give us chance to maybe try sign leao for something around 75M but I'm not sure Arteta would be interested he too lazy off the ball. Reijnders is someone I really like too but look like man city getting him

City will be back next year innit.

I mean just Rodri alone makes them a contender tbh. I expect Marmoush will have bedded in by then and Reijnders in theory at least should knit their midfield together.

Their wingers are still a bit hit and miss though. They’ll probably get someone in there as well.

The defence looks really poor. Walker and obviously KDB will be big misses.

They'll be better but everyone knows they bleed now. I don't think anyone is afraid of City anymore. There were simply too many really poor performances for even a guy as good as Rodri to fix and I think teams not having that fear of them anymore will make it very hard for them to get back to being dominant.

Everyone feels they can take the game to them. Plus you have guys like KDB and maybe Gundo gone, Silva looking old and even if they spend big, the replacements just aren't going to be as good or as consistent, particularly in the big moments of the business end of a season.

They're in a spot where by the time the new guys develop into the level of player they've lost in recent years (if they ever do) Rodri is probably in decline and Haaland is somewhere else. I don't know that Pep will even be around for all of that and that's before we even consider any punishment that may arise from 115.

Wasn't there talk of Ederson leaving as well? So they will need a new GK cos Ortega isn't it.

When you actually go through the squad they have it's less than impressive these days, they've done a really poor job on the market over the past two to three years.

Yes, they've been heavily linked with Diogo Costa of Porto.

Potentially. Ortega has regressed a bit. He looked better last season. They have a job on their hands even if they do get away with all of their many crimes.
