I don't think that the amount of money available to Berta is the same as money available to Campos.
Anyway, approach this summer must be very different with respect to last summer.
Last summer it was quantity, this summer must be quality, mainly in attack.

Not arguing if Berta is doing great or not, but you can't excuse Arsenal, Josh et. al., and Arteta from all of this.

It's a polycule comprised of three very risk averse parties.

Berta and this spinning plate, quantity over quality, spread out the risk between multiple buys bit is by design and probably why Arsenal hired him in the first place.

We don’t have the resources PSG have and we play in a much more demanding league so his approach made sense last season. Even though I’m not fully convinced by his dealings.

But yeah I’m intrigued to see what he will do this summer, big test for him to be in a position of strength and to get quality players over the line.

I’m not losing my head yet because there’s a lot of noise out there and the transfer window hasn’t fully started yet.

Hard to tell. Every sporting director has is own style. For example the previous sporting director of Ajax ignored the scout reports and recommendations and didn't even had a meeting with them when purchasing players in his own network.

Brother have you seen our sales history? Other than Edu somehow fleecing Palace and Reims for the chuckle brother strikers and us robbing Liverpool with the Ox sale eons ago, it's grim.

We won the league and entered 2/3 cup finals last season. It was a good window where our strategy was clearly to increase width and Berta and/or Teta delivered.

The question now is that we need different strategy this summer but we need to wait for all signings before giving verdict.

We need completely opposite transfer strategy now with respect to last summer.
Last summer we needed quantity, i.e. to increase squad depth and floor.
And it was good strategy last summer.

Now we need quality, especially in attack, to increase the ceiling.
Therefore now we need fewer players, but elite quality players.

And priority should be LW.
I'm not sure if Rogers is that, let alone Tzolis.

If we really trying to be ambitious without hurting balance of team just add Rogers and Barcola these two players won't even cost more than what we spent last summer and will massively increase team quality and both can play in thier best position. I don't want us to be stupid ambitious like Liverpool last summer buying Ekitike Isak and Wirtz they completely ruined team balance.
