Im not one to go OTT but do people think we could actually be in for Vini? Got 1 year left and hasn't signed a new deal.
Like @Cash said we just don't seem to have that hunger for attacking players/prospects that other clubs do. If the defensive equivalent of a Vini Jr was in a similar situation I have no doubts we'd be in for him.

Remember when Huijsen had his breakout season? We were willing to spend 50M on a 19yo CB we didn't even need. We also have Rice who we went well over 100M for and battled City for his signature. Now compare that to attackers...

Vini ticks all the boxes, ability, age, contract, in a position of need. But if he was to become available I'm sure we wouldn't sign him, I don't even think we'd be in for him tbh.

If we really trying to be ambitious without hurting balance of team just add Rogers and Barcola these two players won't even cost more than what we spent last summer and will massively increase team quality and both can play in thier best position. I don't want us to be stupid ambitious like Liverpool last summer buying Ekitike Isak and Wirtz they completely ruined team balance.
I agree completely, I have stated many times that we should bring both Rogers and Barcola.

Barcola is obviously available if you read between the lines. Just a cop out from the club to justify going for their no1 preference.
Of course he is available.
Newcastle also says that Guimaraes is not for sale.
Will it stop us?
I doubt it.

I agree with you 100% and I think that this is something we should talk about more.
I can't comprehend this transfer approach, to be so timid about attackers and so aggressive about other positions.
Does anyone have clue why is this the case?

I remember article on Transfermarkt in spring 2025 (I think), where they said that 65 clubs in Europe spent more on attackers than Arsenal since Arteta arrived.
This fact is so bizarre, I couldn't believe it.

Was on Vinai's payroll; misses 4th place trophy 🏆
Winning the league doesn't justify every move you make.
He won multi trophies at A.Madrid and his first year with Arsenal won us a league he must doing something right even if we find his signings not inspiring but he has the power to spend heavily this summer on two or three players he shouldn't be afraid

Rice is one of the best signing we ever made tbf to the club.

Btw Gunnerblog said in his vlog that he expects us to complete the deal for Tzolis once Trossard leaves.
It’s good because its an upgrade and it confirms we are in for a top winger as well. There is no way Arteta goes into the new season with Gabi/Tzolis on LW

I was thinking Bouaddi could do an okay job as a rice deputy just due to his top physical attributes, would be a baptism of fire though but I feel he’d be fine. Bruno G we wouldn’t have to worry at all.

Saliba is a worry but I think we need to put our big boy trousers on and get by with Timber/Mosquera/White, that is top class depth and Timber at CB is probably better than most staring CBs in the league.

Saka is the worry which is lowkey why it needs to be Barcola and Rogers because I’d genuinely consider playing one of them on the right for a bit if Noni’s up to his usual nonsense.
I think Zubi, MLS, Bruno and Merino have to be enough to get by in midfield, even though it won’t ve the same. Likewise with defence as you say.

Saka is the odd one out but man I’m not feeling Rogers at all. Not particularly excited by Barcola either…

And I’d honestly rather play Madueke on the left than right side and have him whip in crosses.

Maybe it’s time to get someone who can genuinely back up and maybe even compete with/push Saka on the right.

It’s the same video he says Meslier is signed as number 3 and if Kepa leaves we’ll look at signing another number 2.
Yeah, it’s a silly approach to squad building.

I want Vini but top attackers cost 3x what a top defender do. And the wages are crazy. There are a few clubs ahead of us regardless of where we are at.

Plus I just don't think doing things like that fits Arsenal values or our approach to sustainable finances. We got cooked on Pepe and Mudryk could of been a horrific mistake.

The fans have also settled for winning a trophy once in a while and Arsenal is booming as a business so why push the boat out?

There is no chance of Sol ever leaving for Arsenal. He is a Spurs fan and there is not a hope in hell of him playing in an Arsenal shirt.
