That’s not true Jesus had more goal contributions (17 g/a) despite missing over three months with injury. Havertz had 21 g/a even though he only played upfront for 4 months. Both of them are also far better footballers than him, he should be third choice in the pecking order behind Havertz and Merino. We should be bringing in a younger forward to replace him.

Quality wise it's obviously prime Özil but his attitude and the social media circus around him by the end takes him down a notch for me (and I appreciate this isn't a mainstream fan view). Cazorla on the other hand could basically do it all, had the work rate and guile to even hold midfield roles (his midget size holding him back a bit!).

Lovely player, absolute gem for us. It's crazy how much creative talent we had back then with Cazorla, Özil, Alexis, Rosicky, Wilshere & Rambo... Just massively held back by the spine of the team.

I would actually prefer Nørgaard to stay atleast another season. He's a very capable midfielder who's shown himself to be able to deputize decently in the centre of defence aswell. At the moment we have a bit of a lack of quality for the RCB position if Mosquera is unavailable, and as it is stands we cannot rely on White and Timber to cover that position aswell, atleast not this season as they both are struggling with fitness issues.

With him being a 2nd/-3rd choice for RCB (behind Mosquera) and being a decent midfielder aswell, you also have to take into account his experience. Multiple players have stated that Nørgaard has been a very vocal leader and have been very influential behind the scenes. Also last but not least: He's a Gooner. If he wants to stay, then I'd be all for it.

No, if you doing the maths that's a pretty bad deal.

He's earning around £15m + if you get £15m for him that's £30m.

So for that you can buy a young talented striker for let's say £50m on a 5 year contract pay him £100k and it cost you £15m a year.

Or you could even buy Kroupi on a 5 year contract for £100m and pay him 150k and it will cost you less than £30m per year.

Tbf, as a midfielder, its still a no from me. Think I said at the time, him in midfield reminds me of Kai in midfield, they are similar players.

This was also the summer we narrowly missed out on the league and expected top quality signings, especially in the front three.
