Jesus is finished and everyone can tell, also overpaid
Nelli is massively overpaid
Nwaneri hasn’t been in the shop window enough but we’d get a decent if we really had to
Viers is crap
Nelson is overpaid

It’s the salaries. Arsenal is most of these guys biggest payday they’ll ever earn and while they’re rich, they’re nowhere near generational wealth. Would you leave for less in their shoes?

One year left with all of Vieira, Nelson, Jesus and Martinelli.
Hopefully the last two can still contribute this year.

I'm thinking Tzolis will be starting most games over Martinelli.

Always thought that one stuck out as a real anomaly though.
So sentimental right?

There was this weird period of extending crap players to protect value, without really thinking of the fact that nobody will want to buy them when you extend them and put them on above market rate wages.

Seems like we had PTSD when it came to players running down contracts and having leverage over us.

Sad to say but he's the sort of player Chelsea or maybe City would have managed to get £15-20m for

Julian Alvarez just might the most overrated footballer in A-M history. Or maybe it’s just that the transfer junkies are willing to take anybody at this point, as long as the price is insane. Madueke would put up better numbers in La Liga than Alvarez last season. Imagine paying north of 100m for a guy who has been second to Alexander Sørloth in team scoring for the last two seasons.

He’d comfortably be a better striker than any of the options we have now

How did Nelson get here? He was so talented coming up.
I might get flack for this because people get defensive about Hale End talent but Nelson has a very weak mentality and has wasted his talents. I think it’s pretty clear when you read between the lines, the fact the guy had two abroad loan spells and is now scared of leaving London. Just sitting on a contract throughout his best years, and his loans have been poor, probably because he hasn’t properly applied himself because he’s comfortable on that deal. It doesn’t mean he’s a mercenary, but there’s that nuance, that grey area, where he’s not at all maximising his talents because he has this contract.

So still the same attacking options as last year.
Just Tzolis instead of Trossard, neither an upgrade nor a downgrade.

Dowman is one year older and he'll probably feature some this year.
We still need an attacking option, ideally someone who can play left and up front.

Enter Fernandez-Pardo.

I mean, isn't that what the general conscensus is on him and AMN?

Also what a lot of people think is happening to Ethan, too.
