Yousif Arsenal

Was on Vinai's payroll; misses 4th place trophy 🏆
He one of my favourite fullback in pl really have that energy pace and can give us something different offensively.

Newcastle will probably put some big price that will make us get mad at them lol

We’re so lacking in attacking quality it’s crazy.
Yet somehow we 2nd best attacking team in league we lack quality because simply there not much consistent attacking players look at the attacking players teams signed this summer you can only Ekitike as hit others are not doing much

Offensively? I think he's a really good defender but I've never felt the attacking part of his game is particularly strong. I actually think he's fairly average on the ball. I'm sure Timber has as many goals and assists this season as Livramento has managed in his entire career

Ture he don't score or assist alot but he more quicker than most pl fullbacks could be useful if we face some low block

Merino starts at international level with Zubimendi f or Spain so this isn't a problem.
I am curious as to what happens if Spain have all their first choice midfield fit at the World Cup?

Given that will leave no room for Merino will they push him into the striker berth where they are otherwise lacking?

If he performs there for them would that see him considered an actual centre forward and we treat him as such?!

I now need to look up whether joelinton is playing as a midfielder for Brazil or not, same sort of situation in reverse.

Merino IS the first choice of Spain in midfield.

Can we not sign anyone and still complete our journey this season? Better to err on the side of proactivity given our injury record.

Unless cala and hincapie are injured long term then what positions do we sign for?

The most glaring ones would appear to be full back, but at left back we have three internationals if fit. Right back has been an issue but timber, white and mosquera will all be fit as of next week. Salmon too is looking promising. We can ride both positions out.

The other issue with just signing another body are many fold.

1) nwaneri can no longer make the bench as too many top players already, havertz not named recently as adequate cover. Our bench is far too strong already to add more players if not an injury crisis.

2) money - sign someone now for the hell of it, less money in the summer and another player to potentially move on.

3) squad size - isn't our squad full already? Certainly for champions league it is. If we sign someone then surely we have to sell / de register another player.

Tldr: unless calafiori is actually long term injured zero gain to signing someone now for the sake of it.

In midfield we could do with a quality player to rotate with Zubimendi. Arguably that's Nørgaard but it doesn't seem like he's trusted.

Other than that it's about market opportunities - players who are either amongst the best in their positions in the world, or with the obvious talent to become one of the best. Players that you don't get many opportunities to lock down

Arsenal Quotes

I was receiving offers from many other clubs and declining them all, even the most tempting ones. Juventus, Real Madrid, PSG contacted me, Bayern, France, England...I am happy to have been able to say no to more glory, more money, and to have been guided only by the idea of loyally serving the club. I had knitted myself a soul in Red and White.
