Someone like Sesko maybe
Jesus is going isn't he? I thought there were reports earlier this season that he had a move lined up to go back to Brazil..?
We're not doing anything in this window because we do not need to for the first time. Hopefully, we clean up the CF chaos in summer and bring in a LF that is arguably world class.
I mean, he def wants to stay going by his letter. If he hits some semblance of form, I wouldn't put it past the club to extend him because both manager and Josh like his versatility.
Even if he leaves, there are too many bodies in the forward line to bring anyone in without other departures. Not to mention Kai/Gyok/Merino should be enough numbers wise.
Furthermore, if one of Tross/Martinelli leaves, we'll likely bring in a LW, not a CF.
And this is all before we get into the financial bit, we spent a lot this summer and it would be peak Arsenal choosing not to spend a similar amount unless someone truly elite (or another ball playing hybrid defender) becomes available.
Squad's floor is too high to do anything else.
Yeah that's why we were interested. He and his agent just didn't want to play ball on the clubs terms.Someone like Sesko maybe![]()
He's going JuventusWho do you have in mind? I'd take Mateta.

He can **** off. Noway, he'll get a new contract. Alvarez can be a good replacement for him, while we can get Mateta as a replacement for GyoHe wants to stay:

Gabriel Jesus makes future plans clear with Arsenal contract up at end of season
GABRIEL JESUS has revealed he is desperate for a new contract at Arsenal. A £45million arrival from Manchester City, he has yet to win a trophy at the Emirates and his contract runs out at the end …www.thesun.co.uk
We never actually do that though. People said we shouldn’t have signed Cunha last January because we’ll get someone better in the summer, then we went on to sign Eze, Gyokeres and Madueke for £174m. Meanwhile Ekitike (15 G/A) and Kudus (9 G/A in a genuinely crap team) went for a combined £134m.
He's a very, very good player and is likely going to City in the summer, & will be a mainstay in their midfield for years.
In an ideal world, if we didn't still need an upgrade at left wing and striker, he'd be the midfield player i'd target to become the perfect rotation with Rice & Zubimendi, as he can do either job, but i doubt we'd drop another £100M on a player while we need upgardes at left wing and forward still.
If pure CF/targetman, I am following Kader Meite, aged 18, already has size of mature Ade, a bit rawer than Ade when he first comes to Arsenal but the basics are at least decent for Ligue 1, 5 goals 2 assists in 1047 Ligue 1 minutes mostly as subs.Ideally I think we should be looking for a young CF prospect that can learn how we play without massive pressure to be the main guy right away.
Watkins knee is made of wheatabix and Cunha has been mid so far.I learnt this lesson the hard way.
Watkins and Cunha were both available last January, and would have given us a chance in the CL whilst also improving us this season.
Mikel Arteta a guy who lost 5 league games in 2 years? Really?Need to get some of these losers out of the club in the summer;
Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, Zinchenko, Mikel Arteta, Martin Ødegaard.

Great. Watkins isn't fit now.He was fit for 2025 and is an actual premier league quality player. Cunha is on the same level as Eze.

If the price was right im sure they'd have gone for him board acted slowly after Duran sale they were in no pressureHe was fit for 2025 and is an actual premier league quality player. Cunha is on the same level as Eze.
