We're not doing anything in this window because we do not need to for the first time. Hopefully, we clean up the CF chaos in summer and bring in a LF that is arguably world class.

Jesus is going isn't he? I thought there were reports earlier this season that he had a move lined up to go back to Brazil..?

I mean, he def wants to stay going by his letter. If he hits some semblance of form, I wouldn't put it past the club to extend him because both manager and Josh like his versatility.

Even if he leaves, there are too many bodies in the forward line to bring anyone in without other departures. Not to mention Kai/Gyok/Merino should be enough numbers wise.

Furthermore, if one of Tross/Martinelli leaves, we'll likely bring in a LW, not a CF.

And this is all before we get into the financial bit, we spent a lot this summer and it would be peak Arsenal choosing not to spend a similar amount unless someone truly elite (or another ball playing hybrid defender) becomes available.

Squad's floor is too high to do anything else.

You say that, but there's always room for a hybrid defender for us to sign and see them become injury prone.

He wants to stay:

He can **** off. Noway, he'll get a new contract. Alvarez can be a good replacement for him, while we can get Mateta as a replacement for Gyo

We never actually do that though. People said we shouldn’t have signed Cunha last January because we’ll get someone better in the summer, then we went on to sign Eze, Gyokeres and Madueke for £174m. Meanwhile Ekitike (15 G/A) and Kudus (9 G/A in a genuinely crap team) went for a combined £134m.

I learnt this lesson the hard way.

Watkins and Cunha were both available last January, and would have given us a chance in the CL whilst also improving us this season.

He's a very, very good player and is likely going to City in the summer, & will be a mainstay in their midfield for years.

In an ideal world, if we didn't still need an upgrade at left wing and striker, he'd be the midfield player i'd target to become the perfect rotation with Rice & Zubimendi, as he can do either job, but i doubt we'd drop another £100M on a player while we need upgardes at left wing and forward still.

100 is really to much tbf, but i just thought he would be a very good depth option to have.

Ideally I think we should be looking for a young CF prospect that can learn how we play without massive pressure to be the main guy right away.
If pure CF/targetman, I am following Kader Meite, aged 18, already has size of mature Ade, a bit rawer than Ade when he first comes to Arsenal but the basics are at least decent for Ligue 1, 5 goals 2 assists in 1047 Ligue 1 minutes mostly as subs.
