Sure it would be slightly better than what we have but our scouting and identifying of players in the final third comes across as lazy, poor and somewhat very reactive compared to our defence. Pretty sure the club are itching for a Kvaratskhelia or Doue but where was that intent to try something when they were at their previous clubs? @DuBB I saw you decide that Barcola wasn’t worth buying purely based on the CL final against us and two missed chances while neglecting the pace shown to get into those positions in the first place and the fact that both of his misses came from good defending from none other than Timber and Saliba, two of the better guys in the world. It’s not a surprise you think the top players only play for the top clubs, you don’t really understand how the sport works.

I'm more concerned with how weirdly has been reported in the last 24 hours. Either we have constraints or we don't. Either some transfers require ok on all fronts from ceo to management and others don't?

Seems like maybe ownership has already reigned in Berta due to excessive use of intermediaries in both incoming and outgoing. If any of this is true we will be looking for a new DOF soon. Dunno what difference that will make though.

Really like the change in recruitment in high level youth players. Club are seeing the benefit of being first in on 15-17 year olds when they cost next to nothing. The pitch to these talent does seem to be working as Monga was all but done by previous regime but current regime wasn't so hot on the number he would cost. Michelli is one scout of many we have but seems to be the one with the inside track on some of these tricky wingers.

Let's see what happens.. felt fine yesterday but these stories of contradictory information regarding finances is ****ing annoying.

It was the same case with Cherki, I think people need to separate whether they like a player, assumptions on how they are + the attachment element with a player’s attributes, what he can offer us in our system and how it’ll help us succeed in reaching our goals. Everything else I regard as fluff.

I just found it ironic how fans were turning their noses at wide players left, right and centre then when it came to Malick Fofana who obviously has some decent attributes but clearly isn’t at the level yet compared to some of the other players who were on the move towards the end of the window, they were more open to it for some strange reason.

Would be smart move. No big club would approach a player that was poor for so long and then done his acl. We will definitely have zero competition and Real would gladly sell.

There's exceptions, but typically a player who looks like a talent plays 10-30 matches in France or Germany and moves to the PL or other top clubs. Lyon managed to keep Cherki for a bit and sell poorly

Barcola does the numbers he's gotten for PSG the past 3 seasons, but for a club like Villa and people would be a lot more open for it.

In terms of UEFA sanctions the most important thing is being under that 70% threshold for SCR and i think Swiss Ramble estimated us to be around the 60% mark for 25/26. For 26/27 it will probably be lower than that with the profit from the Martinelli sale and the wages we got off the books.
