So if we're counting on Gyökeres coming in that leaves CB (Mosq?) and LW (Eze/Rod?) as the only position with "need" of a body (if you count Nwaneri as a 10).

Then the rest of the window will be dedicated to getting rid of:
Zinchenko
Vieira
Lokonga
Nelson

Question marks around (one out one in?)
Kiwior
Martinelli?

People are still dreaming about Eze and Rodrygo...

After Gyokeres, we are done. Maybe Mosquera to be added but that's it.

CF: Gyökeres, Havertz
RW: Martinelli, Madueke
LW: Saka, Madueke
LCM: Ødegaard, Nwaneri
RCM: Rice, Merino
CDM: Zubimendi, Nørgaard
LB: MLS, Calafiori
LCB: Gabriel, Kiwior
RCB: Saliba, Mosquera
RB: Timber, White
GK: Raya, Kepa

I'm really struggling to see another attacker coming in, except if we sell Martinelli
We're selling trossard and if that goes through, we'll likely get eze

We have a Saka back-up. He's called Ethan Nwaneri and he will be a Chelsea player soon for next to nothing while we pay them £50 million quid for this turkey in the making. Willian the Second.

If this guy is a failure (I hope not) and we win nothing this season Arteta will have to walk.
Ethan is covering both Ødegaard and Saka. Either you buy an Ødegaard backup or a Saka backup, and have Nwaneri cover the other. He can't be covering both, so we are a man short and finding cover is/was essential.

Everyone and their dog cried for years about running Saka into the ground and not having a backup for him and Ødegaard. We've bought one and now have two real cover options.

The problem is the club and player, not the role we're buying for.

I agree by the way, if next season goes tits up, then it's hard to back him after that.

Nwaneri was effectively ground for the last three months of the season despite Ødegaard's indifferent form and the congested fixture list. This signing is sending him signals he will not feature prominently so he will leve either this summer or the next and we will still need cover having lost one of the finest young players in the PL.

But we have have the great Madueke of course.

I will remain positive and hope that he is cover for the 10/8 and RW.

My underlying fear is that you're right, in which case heads should roll.

Seen some rumours Arteta and Ethan fell out during the Brighton away game, apparently why he was subbed at halftime.

Interesting 🤔

I would prefer Martinelli to be gone than Trossard tbh. We have been waiting for a bloom from him since way, way back.

Arsenal Quotes

I was receiving offers from many other clubs and declining them all, even the most tempting ones. Juventus, Real Madrid, PSG contacted me, Bayern, France, England...I am happy to have been able to say no to more glory, more money, and to have been guided only by the idea of loyally serving the club. I had knitted myself a soul in Red and White.
