Just sign Gyokeres, Eze, Nusa of Ben Seghir as winger & Bouaddi for the future.

We need more brilliant kids like Bouaddi & Seghir/Nusa.

Should have been faster with Alberto Moleiro. He’s @ Villarreal now. Will go for a lot of cash within 2/3 years…

Can see the Gyokeres move being a huge smokescreen for Isak. We are just waiting for Liverpool to confirm Ekitike, leaving us as front runners for Isak.

Huge moves from Berta.

Not going to lie the Ekiteke news has pissed me off.

Is he going to be a guaranteed success? No. But if he is they’ve taken the risk and got themselves a world class striker who will help them challenge for trophies and/or get them a monster transfer fee in the future.

We never go for these signings but then act confused when we can’t afford to spend 150M on Isak or aren’t able to compete with the biggest clubs for their signature.

The only reason we’re even competing for trophies right now is because we took a gamble and paid 30M for an 18yo CB who has world class potential.

Clubs like us, Liverpool and Chelsea can’t afford to battle Madrid/Bayern/Barca for players who are already world class. Liverpool took a chance on Salah all those years ago and have now done it with Wirtz and Ekiteke, Chelsea paid 40M for an unproven Palmer cos they believed in his talent. Who is Arsenal’s version of that?

100% agreed, we seemed to have moved on from this strategy of signing pre-prime top talents that are a small risk short term, unless you count Mosquera as that type of player, our scouting for attacking talent is abysmal.

We do it for defenders all the time. Calafiori, White, Timber were all signings who we looked to get before they blew up.

While they weren’t in the same talent category as Saliba (I’d say they were top talents rather than elite talents) it’s still an okay approach. We don’t even do that for attackers though and the last time we tried to was for Mudryk and Sesko. Very worrying.
