We gave up hope of Isak months ago. Every Tier 1 journo for us said so.And Arteta really wanting him and usually getting these players ahead of other clubs. Rice(City), Zuba(Liverpool), Havertz & Cala(Real Madrid), etc.
Not going to lie the Ekiteke news has pissed me off.
Is he going to be a guaranteed success? No. But if he is they’ve taken the risk and got themselves a world class striker who will help them challenge for trophies and/or get them a monster transfer fee in the future.
We never go for these signings but then act confused when we can’t afford to spend 150M on Isak or aren’t able to compete with the biggest clubs for their signature.
The only reason we’re even competing for trophies right now is because we took a gamble and paid 30M for an 18yo CB who has world class potential.
Clubs like us, Liverpool and Chelsea can’t afford to battle Madrid/Bayern/Barca for players who are already world class. Liverpool took a chance on Salah all those years ago and have now done it with Wirtz and Ekiteke, Chelsea paid 40M for an unproven Palmer cos they believed in his talent. Who is Arsenal’s version of that?

Imo not this summer but pretty sure next summer if he decides not to renew he'd have two years Newcastle will likely lower thier demand. He’s back on the menu

As for now Arsenal will never consider him for 150M
I still think Newcastle's way of keeping Isak will be to promise him a move next summer. It doesn't seem for whatever reason they are willing to boost his pay.Imo not this summer but pretty sure next summer if he decides not to renew he'd have two years Newcastle will likely lower thier demand.

Newcastle: Reject £120m approach, say he’s not for sale at any price
A-M: Isak is back on the menu!
Arteta has a different knock though, especially with Berta as auxiliary support.Newcastle: Reject £120m approach, say he’s not for sale at any price

There’s bigger chance Newcastle stop being restricted next season and they sign Saka than we sign Isak. The league is working hard to restrict the SaudisHe’s back on the menu
