With the current squad, he doesnt need to win the PL or CL to stay at the club. But IF Rodrygo and Eze join us, then the expectation will be higher.
Whatever Arsenal have or don’t have in particular after 6 years is on him. He has had tons of authority and money. No one forced him to buy two expensive project players from our cross town rivals to reclaim them for 115 million or to go in on Jesus or play Holding at Etihad or have to rely on the player in first place; all of those things are him not the lame excuse of cheap board we heard

Last season was basically top 4 with no title challenge.

At no point did we actually challenge. The fact that we came second is neither here nor there really.
Agree. Last season for me was a bit like the season when Leicester won the league. I see people sometimes talk about us being in a title fight that year but at no point did it feel that way

God willing Bayern make a late move for Havertz. I'm banking on their fixation for everything German to come through and save us. Havertz out, Eze/Rodrygo in could be a game changer.
I would be happy with Gyokeres and Merino as 9 options. But with our luck it wouldn't surprise me if Havertz leaves and suddenly turns in one of the best strikers in the world playing for a team that actually plays football.

Honestly if we don’t bring anyone else in we are fvcked.

It’s between Liverpool and Chelsea this season and city can still be there can’t write them off.

I dont get why we can’t just sell Crapinelli, Nelson and Zinny to make funds then buy Eze and then get Rodrygo on loan we will then have enough to cover his wages from the sales.

Make it happen Teta and Berta!

How about if we throw in final CL with it.

i think its time to deliver major trophy no more runner up (even he should deliver premier league title in last 2 season), so it does not make sense talk about runner up again for next season

I'd give Mickey Taliban a sack even if he does win a trophy. Football is not complicated but this nerd is overthinking everything. Too much puss*ying around for my taste
if he only win major trophy then yes agree (unless he won treble premier league + fa + carabao next season),

arteta is not good for future club because have manager who overthinking everything and have trauma scared of losing like him will affect many things for this club :
1. our transfer window in every next season (he will waste money again buy too much defender & gk),
2.. affect our player development (no freedom because everything always control under manager)
3. affect our tactic (risk averse)
etc

The club are quite clever at grouping last season in with 22/23 and 23/24 when pushing the “we are so close” narrative.

We were never really within 5 points of the title all season and finish on like 72 points or whatever. It was essentially a standard top 4 season with no trophy. Very similar to a season like 08/09 for example.

He will be gone by xmas.
Bold statement.

And tbf, as long as he doesn't get on the wrong side of the board, he'll stay with us. Got a feeling that he will walk on his own terms, unless the stadium goes full toxic ArtetaOut.

Tbf there were some pretty solid mitigating circumstances around last season.

If we aren't challenging this year and largely remain injury free it's curtains (should be).

Arsenal Quotes

When Patrick Vieira came over from AC Milan, he didn’t know a word of English. We gave him accommodation, phone, car and an English teacher. I talked to Patrick in fluent French and before a game I asked in French, can you speak a bit of English to me? Patrick nodded and replied: Tottenham are shit!
