If this isn't a 10 window than we never getting a 10 window unless people think we will have a summer where we sign a Ronaldo Kaka Galacticos summer which will never ever happen .

That's where I'm at, anyone calling this some 7 or below have unrealistic expectations.

Some people expect fifa career mode type windows for a 10, that just don't happen.

You got to look at how your club goes into the window and then how it exits, nothing is ever going to be perfect, but for us, this a 10.

we really need 1 more attacking signing that is left wing as competition for eze and rotate with eze

No we don't, we have Martinelli and Trossard to rotate with Eze.

The club just can't pretend those two players don't exist, and neither can we. Yes, both have flaws but if Eze is the starting LW, Martinelli and Trossard are pretty damn good back ups to have.

I said it when Edu left because a lot of people started to panic. This can be a blessing in disguise and it turned out to be exactly that.
At that time even before we appointed him asa a DoF, there was a lot of negative reports coming from Brazil, that he is really poor at his job.
The fact we had a brazilian dof for couple of years and the only brazilian we signed was the fraud Marquinhos ,should speak enough
Look at Edu at Forest, just pumping in Kia clients it’s his cozy plug. When it came to the big deals he had no clue. We can judge the player later but that deal for Gyok by Berta was exceptional.

That's, like, your opinion, man.

I didn't panic early but I was fuming for a couple of days when it looked like Gyok was the last incoming until the moment the Eze hijack Ornbomb hit. These last 2 signings really solidified the intent to go all in on winning. Now you can look back at the totality of the summer and be happy with the incomings. If he can secure exits for the likes of Vieira, Zinchenko and Reiss by deadline day then it becomes a true total masterclass of a window. 9/10 for me at present.

Like how people ignore the history of this club and transfer windows.

For the past two decades the "judge the club when the window closes" crowd were always left with their feet in their mouths.

First time this hasn't happened and suddenly people didn't have legit reasons to doubt and ask more from the club?

Nah, not having it.

You can be elated by our business (which I am) and still recognize this has been a surprised and one we would like to become the norm when needed.

9/10 window for me. Only reason it isn’t a 10/10 is because we needed a top class LW specialist and never signed one.

Otherwise it’s been great.
I don’t think we needed a specialist winger for the sake of having a specialist. We just needed someone who was quality on the left. We bought a player who can start wide and comes inside, so not a specialist but we have paired him up with wide overlapping left backs. So the fullback becomes the width and the winger works the half space, as opposed to the other way around. It’s basically the Pires and Ashley Cole dynamic.

But the biggest selling point about having an half space wide player like Eze is that he will be cutting inside and looking to make passes early in transition which is exactly what Gyokeres needs A specialist winger doesn’t necessarily do that and risks leaving Gyokeres without the requisite service.

I see the left side having the old Invincible left side makeup with Eze coming inside, Gyokeres drifting left and Calafirori/Hincapie overlapping. If we bought a specialist winger, it wouldn’t enable the left side to the same degree, because a player of that type isn’t usually a good passer so won’t have any creative benefit for Gyokeres and Rice will still be the inside half space left 8 driving the attack.

Arsenal Quotes

Thierry Henry was very quick at analysing everything that was going on and how he needed to react. This intelligence, this capacity to evaluate, understand and question oneself, is also the mark of great players... For everyone, for the fans and for us, he symbolised the golden age of Arsenal.
