I said streamline the squad by binning him, Zinny and Tomiyasu then sign a hybrid like Hato.

How you binning Tomiyasu when he won't be back until the end of 2025?

Also in what world is Bailey allowed as a source on here, he's terrible?!

We are better off keeping Kiwior on £50k a week than signing another defender for £35M. You already know how much we need to do this summer, making extra work for ourselves.

We don’t need to spend £35m on a backup. Don’t let Arteta brainwash you.

I’ll bin Tomiyasu in January 2026.

Pretty sure its not the manager, who has been crying out for players.
You mean the same manager that ignored our attack for 2 seasons straight and spent 75 mil on Havertz to play LCM and 45 mil on an injury prone Calafiori instead of a winger/striker/attacking midfielder, then sold/sent out on loan 4 offensive players?

It’s because they accepted the manager is not gonna push for both and know he’s not going. So the real debate is what’s the priority because we not getting both

It really isn’t that though is it, no one had mentioned the manager in this equation until you just did.

What attacker are you getting for Calafiori or Merino money?

Are you serious? You mean to tell me that you can't get a quality player for 45 mil?

Why do scouts even exist? Not to spot talent from across the world?

Yes, that is what i'm telling you. There might be the odd rare case. But generally, you can get quality defenders or a Fabio Vieira. Our budget since the Rice window has been very limited.

You just said we should sign someone like Hato, who would be backup, for £35M?

So you'd rather the majority of our budget go towards a CF over a LW? Even though Kai is better than Martinelli?

It's simple both aren't good enough or at least need other qualities for players in competition. Kai been better than Martinelli is debatable, he's a tap in merchant with good fast movement. He can't shoot, beat players or link up very well. Martinelli as predictable as his offense is, doesn't have support on the left and tracks back better than any winger in the game.

You can’t separate the manager. People are doubtful of the club being left short in attack again. But not about the defence. Unless you think the board is just refusing to buy attacking talent, then it’s the manager that people don’t think will push for it

Arsenal Quotes

It was a unique moment, a football fairytale. Was there anyone left who still believed I could give that kind of performance? Probably only Arsène Wenger.
