I just don’t see it with him. Drifts in and out of games, below average work rate. Would be exposed against better, stronger defenders & the fanbase would turn extremely quickly.
I've seen him terrorize bigger, stronger defenders in the CL when he's in the mood. There's an absolute beast in there still I'm sure of it. Would be a risk but I'm still convinced he's got an extremely high ceiling

I really don't get the narrative here that bringing Sesko will not push us to challenge for the league.

It was never first team quality that was the issue
it was the lacked of squad depth.

The whole issue was that this criminal manager+board thought that Martinelli, Trossard, Kai, Jesus & Saka were enough for 3 positions. Due to negligence after not getting Nico, we got a washed Sterling.

You could argue, 6 players for 3 positions should be enough but clearly it is not when the drop of quality is so much. 4 out on the same time and Sterling worth nothing and you have only 1 player left in your attack. Luckily Ethan and Merino stepped up ...

So if we add add Sesko & Rodrygo and sell Martinelli, we still need 2 player to bring in attacking options. Jesus is washed out and Ethan should be playing instead of Ode.

LW: Rodrygo, Trossard
RW: Saka, ???
CF: Sesko, Havertz, ???

I swear that season where everything went our way has done a number on so many fans. How can you say it was first team quality that was the issue. A team starting Martinelli and Havertz in attack is not good enough to win the league

Arteta has now come forward asking for creativity and goals. Told us it's not up to him but up to the guys upstairs.

Lets see what the board and their guy Berta does.

Alberto Moleiro seems worth a gamble as he should be cheap with Las Palmas getting relegated.

Dunno man, that team got more goals, more points and conceded less than the Liverpool team that just won the league 🤷‍♀️

You have to arrive at the right time 💭

They didn’t win it. Hence they were not good enough and why we want improvement

Whenever someone tries to be constructive, Arteta haters say "didn't win it tho".

That isn't the point. The point is you're allowed to look at something like the defensive record and praise that whilst also being annoyed we didn't win trophies.

Well that team was better than this Liverpool team that won the title, so if the timing is right we could be crowned champions next season with zero signings ⌛

People don't rate 90-point season in very difficult league but rate an 83-point season in the worst league ever.

Not sure what we are doing here.

Everything went our way last season but not winning is entirely on us even though City went on a historic run in the last third of the campaign (this does NOT count against "everything going our way"). Liverpool had everything go their way this season, to the point that the other two top teams fell off so much due to injuries that they won the league with what would have been a third place points total last season. But winning is entirely on them.

Context is a myth. There is no such thing as society.

Winners win. Losers make excuses. We didn’t win because we were not good enough.

I've never been a goalscorer. I've only owned goals. Good own goals.
