TBF I'd sign Hato aswell for 2 reasons - 1. He's genuinely good and 2. Suits my "Lewis-Skelly for midfield" agenda.

I’m all for signing a LB if it moves MLS to midfield. Why not a natural attacking LB instead of another half CB half LB

Fanciful, but also largely pointless basing predictions on previous rumours. Berta has been appointed for a reason. All previous noise could be swept under the carpet given his contacts and thoughts on how to improve us. Don’t care what people say, he will not be an Arteta puppet. It makes it exciting, but until he gets his feet under the table, this hypothesising is almost pointless.

At this point you think about Berta’s philosophy. You go off what @Rex Stone says, nobody else knows as much about his approach on this forum. Spunking a load on Isak or £350 a week on Nico isn’t happening. Think we’ll see different rumours soon.

I’ll counter that with what AM paid for Felix, but at the time he was a perceived generational talent, and almost counter to AM’s normal modus operandi. Not seeing that happening here.

Yeah it’s annoying. Hopefully we change up the style a bit over the summer. Bring in a young pacy LB, or maybe try bring in someone like Theo Hernandez if the price is right.

I might be wrong not pretending like I know how the guy thinks.

Atletico were almost always broke to some degree and having to rob Peter to pay Paul with some of the agent led dealings.

They were never shopping in the same markets as the big two in Spain or the top end of the PL so maybe with us he’ll be more open to big signings.
